Reckon Ratts would be good. Vossy ???..........who really knows. But, anything's better than Dennis !!!

Maybe Ratts will do a "Clarkson" and move from caretaker to full time coach. Clarkson had his problems early on, but look at the Dawks now. Travelling very nicely and will be a power for the next 5-7 years at least.

Sir Richard on 3AW when quizzed on reviewing the coaches position "if we have a bad year we'll have to think about it but I think we'll win 10-11 games"

I dont remember Clarkson being a caretaker coach.

Pratt says Denis is safe, so long as we don't have another horror year...

Denis is GAWN.

Either Ratten or Bradley. They have more Carlton blood than Pagan ever will.

if we are to get rid of Pagan do it at the end of the season, no point in keeping a coach if he is only going to be around for 1 more year.

Pagan out Ratten in Give Ratts 15 rounds and see how he goes. (remember Paul Roos)

I have reservations about a senior coach with no coaching experience(Voss) Thats why Ratts needs some time to see where he is at. But it must happen now
PLEASE

10-11 games that's just outside the 8 i doubt it,we are not better then West Coast,Port Adelaide,Geelong,Adelaide,Sydney,St Kilda, Hawthorn, Collingwood,Brisbane,Fremantle,Kangaroos and Western Bulldogs.

I think we are more close to Essendon* and Melbourne for now until their players are back and a head of Richmond. I think 6 wins of the last 15 is gettable,i can't see us winning half of the remaing games,to get 10 wins we need to win 8 out of 15.

Interesting comments by Pratt saying that he expects 10 to 11 games, the appointment of coach isnt his area, Pagan is safe etc.

I recall Richard telling us that he had no intention of becoming president - until of course Sticks rang him up so see where he was at - last February.

15th June could be D-Day which just so happens to be my 30th and the last game before the break against Hawthorn. Games until that potentially historic night:

Kangaroos - Gold Coast
Adelaide - TD
Bulldogs - MCG
Port - TD
Hawks - TD

Actually poor coach who takes over would have Freo, Brisbane and Sydney away in 3 of 4 weeks after break.

There is no way we will win 10 or 11 this year - our next half a dozen games will see to that.
The interesting thing is whether or not Richmond or Melbourne can muster enough games to pass us.

If Pratt is true to his word, then he will be drawing up the cheque for DP by year's end.
Historically though, most coaches that take over mid-year find it a pretty tough gig, so I wouldn't throw Ratten in mid-year.

As much as the blue-bagger in me would love to see Ratten in the job ( loved him as a player), I would think that Harvey and McKenna would come under serious consideration as well.

I'd rather see McKenna get it than Harvey though.
Just can't quite get excited about Harvey as a CFC coach, although he has done extremely well at Freo.
Hopefully Freo will lose a few more and he will get that job next year!

If he is sacked mid-season, all things considered, I wouldn't have Mitchell as caretaker, has too much of a domino effect on everything, in terms of now having to find a caretaker Bullants coach, perhaps a caretaker Bullants two's coach, etc. etc.

Given that he appears to be diametrically opposed to Pagan in terms of personality as possible, I'd say it'd be a lot more beneficial to see whether it was the "Pagan effect" on the boys, or whether or not we are just plain shit, and appoint TD as caretaker for the rest of the year.

The few times I've ever spoken to him or heard him speak at match functions, you can't help but catch on to his enthusiasm, and seems like the sort of bloke who'd be able to gee up the young blokes when it seems like there may not be much to be excited about by the time the decision rolls around.

TD's official role around the club is replaceable, whereas like Mitchell's, Ratten and Bradley or even Crossisca would need to have their day to day role replaced to a greater extent, or worse off, pulling double duty, which helps no-one.

His record in cultivating some of the younger blokes in the Essendon* 2's in the late 90's who later went on to become integral parts of the Essendon* flag (Ramanauskas, Solomon, Heffernan, etc) isn't bad either.

The sooner Pagan goes the better.

He is murdering the confidence of Walker, Gibbs, Kennedy, Russell, Blackwell, Bower & Anderson

If he doesn't go sooner, rather than later then these lads will be nearly destroyed by seasons end

I watched us get flogged by Sydney at Telstra Stadium on my 30th birthday, I don't see why you should expect anything different!
