Isnt it great in the paper today seeing Sticks with Geoffrey Edelstein - :banghead:

a former crim who has been convicted of conspiracy to murder - who hired Chris Flannery to murder someone and yet this guy because he has plenty of money has access to coaches our president and players - just found our new president -UNBELIEVABLE :hitcomputer:

Amateur hour. An NFL owner - e.g Robert Kraft or Woody Johnson wouldn't do this. AND THEY OWN THE @#$%&! TEAM!

It's embarrassing. This is a little different to Robert Menzies being driven up a purpose-built ramp to watch the footy - this is now 2013. I don't care how much money he gives the club. This is an element of the culture that needs to change at this place.

What if Ruffy Geminder and Craig Mathieson (only on the board because of benefactor relatives) read this and say 'Hey...I want Mick to tell me too! And I want to sit in the coaches box! And I want them to give me a presentation before draft day on the kids they're keen on!'...it's beyond a @#$%&! joke. Is Edelston Veruca Salt?

Look Geoffrey...appreciate the support. But please leave the coach alone pre-match and @#$%&! off out of the coaches box. Do you honestly think they enjoy doing it?

Its cringe worthy and inept on a number of levels
One its probably a puff piece smokescreen to mask terrible on field performance - FAIL we all know we are 9th - not playing well and not beating good opposition

On its crudest level it is a piece about a former crim (charged and convicted of serious offences) that has a lot of money is a huge self promoter that HAS almost unfettered access to the management executive and players in our club -FAIL THIS IS NOT A GOOD NEWS STORY IN FACT THIS IS HORRENDOUS

Surrey we know that other clubs do it ie grant access to high flyers - do they do it with Edelstein with his priors or are they smart enough to realize that the publicity re doing this and particularly with Edelstein derogate from the brand -this is even more acute when you are a club struggling for credibility on and off the field

Do you reckon McGuire would be doing this in similar circumstances - do you think Carter at Geelong or the Hawthorn bloke would let this be a feature in the paper

It is DUMB -like Albanese meeting having a beer with Craig Thompson and conjures up all the wrong images and perceptions even if there is nothing really in it

I think there's nothing in it.

He's part of an inner sanctum....he pays for the privelege....how does that hurt?

He doesn't tell the coach what to do...he listens and I know I'd love to know the tactics and strategy before watching a game to see if the players are following instructions....let alone if I agree with those instructions.

Lucky bastrad...I wish it was me.
