An interesting point of view on our recruiting, I don't necessarily 100% agree with it all, but it's not 100% wrong also.
We needed to fill an age gap and Leigh seems to have forgotten how bad our injury list has been and the need to add experience to cover those players that played in the VFL.
I agree about our lack of trading in A grade talent, especially mids. Cerra was supposed to be that but he has been a disappointment.
And the players we brought in last year did let us down on the weekend, I don't think they will continue to though, but it is good that they have been called out.
I was surprised we have the most players from opposition teams on our list, especially given Geelong's recruiting.
Losing 3 drafted players last year probably didn't help though.
It was good he highlighted what we all know about our player development.

Starts @ 5:15

The first part about Harley Reid was interesting though, they showed clips when he got the ball and how he draws a crowd, freeing up his own players.
This is what we do every week with opposition midfielders that are killing us and we end up making space for them to punish us.
We don't have anyone doing this for us, not even close.
Harley is also blocking for his younger mids and making space is something our mids are not doing, they all seem to be playing for themselves, especially in second halves.
Cripps used to be like this, he really needs to step it up, not be the hero and just do the grunt work that delivers.
Create space, draw a crowd, feed the ball to the others and hold his tackles.
And do it for 4 quarters.

I couldn’t, in good conscience, offer either Camporeale a new deal.
