Dannygirl where do I start with you? I don’t know what is more boring, 50 lines of mind numbing poems or your monthly “CG is Sheikâ€

Oh Dannyboy...the pipes...the pipes...are calling...

Sorry if that's been done to death before, I'm a relative newbie around these parts.

But every time I see your posts, the urge comes from inside to express the Irish in me.

Trouble is, I don't have any Irish...and it just doesn't sound the same in an Eastern European accent.

Maybe...but unlikely they got to the shtetels of Eastern Europe in the late 19th Century. Not unless they were disguising themselves as part of the pogroms.

Mind you...I can hear the word 'pogrom' being said in a Scottish accent!

Ok so the deal that would really prove if Thornton is in it for the money or not is as follows:

Melbourne come in with there first pick 12, T-Bird has the opportunity to move to the club he supported as a kid as well as be in with a chance to play finals on lesser money than he believes he is worth.

That's what I thought too CK. I remember him and Waite being interviewed a couple of years ago on the radio show and they both said they were Essendon* supporters as kids.

IIRC there was a picture/video of Thornton as a teenager in the crowd at an Essendon* Carlton match leaning over the fence and abusing one of the Carlton players.

Actually Jars I think MCB or someone posted on TBV once that they were watching the Ess/Rich final of 2001 & Tbird was leaning over the fence giving it to Richo

Apparently Pagan has told the press this afternoon that Thornton is a required player. Full stop. (According to SEN)

That's the right thing to say either way.

Intersting to see the differences in style.
Paul Roos when asked if they could get Spida in the PSD, that he is confident they could but don't want to cos they want to do the right thing by all concerned inc Hawks and want to deal with the Hawks again in the future.
Thornton and the Dawks are talking about going to the PSD if necessary.

Paul Roos is a class indivdual.
