Our little poll would suggest otherwise tap.

tap that is the definition of a clash guernsey. They haven't sold out because no one is gonna buy a white top. The clash top has been brought in to help viewing the game. It might be alright for the hardcore here with premium seating but spare a thought for the guy in the last row of the top deck of the new stand at the G.

First they change it just for the games in which our guernsey "clashes" against other clubs and then next a few years down the track they make sure all away games we play in this shi*te guernsey.

it is just a first step in getting rid of tradition and letting the "marketing experts" at the AFL have their say.

I have no problem with "clashes" with melbourne guernseys etc.. all that needs to be done is for the away team to wear white shorts, but i guess opinions of supporters don't matter.

we are the navy whites, we're the team that changes our guernsey on a whim, we're the team that has just sold out.

classic mate, why is it, we are selling out now, but it was perfectly fine to leave OO - our spiritual home.

you guys and your double standards

i hope they change the away strip every couple of years as a revenue raiser.

In a Carlton /Freo grand final do we have to wear it?

And really, Freemantle, Port(?), Melbourne(?) and St Kilda!

Where's the clash?

The clash with Melbourne and Fremantle are the worst. I am glad that the club has embraced the idea of an alternate jumper, although I agree that the current design is a little boring (and won't sell much). We have missed the opportunity to come up with a cool new jumper that will capture the imagination of the kids. Oh well, maybe next year... keep it on toast Camel.

Look, I might concede Melbourne, but with their red socks its easy to tell who is who. Freemantle is purple, and I've never had any difficulty identifying which is which. Whilst I understand that there may be marketing advantages, I do not accept the clash argument.

Still, its our Boards first move - decisive if nothing else.

How it comes up on TV is what its all about...from the AFL and marketing point of view...dont find the white look very appealing and with white shorts we will look very arctic...
I guess if we win away it will require a change of theme song...we are the arctic whites..maybe....

If we're wearing white tops, does that mean we keep the navy shorts? After all, the least the Club could have done was to insist on an entire clash "Strip" rather than just a jumper.

Oh, and Heady, blow it out your arse, you old fart   :P

I think I read that it will be combined with the white shorts.

I wouldn't mind it at all on two conditions

1. Blue Shorts
2. White Monogram. So obviously it wasn't in the constitution afterall, but i just dont like the look of the blue monogram.

That's an absolutely horrible jumper. Was furious when I saw it just because of the missed opportunity. This club couldn't get any more boring right now

It will look pathetic in white shorts.

Worse than Essendon*'s red ones.

Either of these with the Navy shorts would be my favourite:
