Never stopped us before.

Curnow is a case in point on that

I always err on giving anyone who is listed as a 'test' to be given a further week or perhaps limited minutes in the VFL as a way of making their way back.
With that in mind:

Cowan - Young - Haynes
Saad - Weitering - O. Hollands
Binns - Cripps - L. Camporeale
Williams - Curnow - Docherty
Fogarty - Silvagni - Kemp

TDK - Cerra - Walsh

Hewett - Cottrell - Boyd - Motlop

Just told it was Twitter. Post states NOT playing

Both big boys obviously have not been fit.
All those rumours Harry wasn't right when he came off at quarter time in GWS praccy game were probably right.

Charlie didnt play vs Tigers so Harry had to be the "lame" target.
Harry didn't play the following week and Charlie had to play the "lame" target.

FMD.

OK, lets get McMahon in.....

How Evans got a spot in front of White or McMahon is just beyond comprehension. Sorry but just doesn’t make sense.

In hindsight, should have known when Sayers got his dick out it was going to be a really shit year.

Issues galore.

Most thought (reasonably) we’d be contending. I’m wondering when our next win will be.

Yes , Sayers was popular with players and staff . Reckon the sudden departure has thrown things out of whack .

Personal leave, on full pay.
How long for?

$900K pa or a cost of $17,300 per week.
How long for?

He hasn't played for 3 weeks.
Turning up in round 1 because Charlie was missing was just a head count.

Players, like most everyday punters have their 4 weeks holidays paid

Add Hollands to that too, on full pay

I'm glad I don't own a Footy Club.

Sorry, I totally get mental health, but I don't know if it is that, but there's something wrong with this.

IMO, he is paid to play a maximum 27 games, and if injured on the field or in the gym.

That's $33,300 per game.

Personal Reasons? Is that leave without pay?
Should be, and that saving should be banked into our Warchest.

We have a tight salary cap as it is.

That's a stranglehold.

Should I press "Submit" to this post....I feel guilt to do so...yep. Its worth a discussion. There might be a HR expert on this site.
Someone might slap me and put me in line. Enlighten me.

I feel there is a huge cultural issue rearing its ugly head again. Hopefully not and we’ve move past this.

My personal opinion, this game will highlight how much truth is in the current discussion points.

NA: McKay, E.Hollands, Newman, Smith, Cincotta Fantasia Pittonet (7 senior players making way for 7 of our depth players)

Obviously Boyd in.
Kemp survives? .... I reckon put Gov in his spot
Acres as sub unless we want to give his spot to a 20yo kid.
No thanks to Evans. Too many average small forwards playing already: Motlop and Fogarty

What's left:

Mature

23 Durdin ... worth the risk for me. He has genuine pace.
21 White ... yep. Get him in for Fogarty

Kids

20 Binns ... yeah nah yeah for Acres?
20 Moir
20 Lemmey 20 ....for Kemp....yeah nah
20 Wilson 20
20 Carroll 20 ... he should be in the team imo
20 O'Keefe
19 Charleson
19 O'Farrell
19 B.Camporeale ... managed

Considering we have playing

19 L. Camporeale
20 Lord
20 Hollands
20 Cowan

I think the size of the package is what generates the interest

Same with sayers I guess?

I watched the training video Blue Abroad made yesterday. Harry was training, and the players looked sharp ... Cripps words at the end of training were captured.

Lets hope the tweaks they worked on are put into practise.

Its going to be a high pressure contested brawl between Cripps Hewett and Cerra and Libba Kennedy  and West .

You're right Surrey. Lets see

I'm sure the playing group, or at least some of them liked Sayers, but if they can't see he had to go they're dumber than I thought.

bondi you know I love everything about you but ease up on the Carroll
This kid is 19
He played 6 games in his last season of under 18
He was taken as a rookie selection
He missed the entire of last season
He has played 2 practice games
He rolled his ankle and been out for 3 weeks

Please let this kid find his feet in twos and stop calling for his selection he couldn't possibly be ready to play at AFL level

Funny, at the time my husband said, this is gonna derail our season and I scoffed at him!

Ready or not, Lemmey has to go in the deep end tomorrow night.

Young as the 2nd ruck from CHB might work, but isn’t right now. His extra height is a moot point against the English/Darcy combo. The only way to beat them in the air is to take them off their line.

Weitering, Silvagni, Haynes, McGovern. That last bloke needs a rocket, but the quartet will work.
