Orazio for Carroll...
(both have/had limited impact)

Trusting the same team that took on Essendon* will get the job done.

Definitely will keep an eye on Orazio to see what his role is... Can't say I've seen it, BUT haven't really looked to be fair

Go Blues

Between Atkins, Blicavs, & Danger, I think Crippa is in for a rough day.

Challenge for Vossy will be moving the pieces to get him head-to-head with Bowes.

We’ve won four out of five.

They’ve lost four out of five.

I’d love to feel confident but I fear we’re [REDACTED].

And the one we lost was vs Sydney and the one they won was vs Richmond.

I wonder whether Orazio is supposed to play more of a mid-forward link role where he is valued for being able to spot and deliver to the right option without bombing it in?

I mean, no Stanley is probably addition by subtraction for them, but getting ready for a late change

Oh oh Touhy back in for our game. Just like the game earlier in the year and we know what he did that day to make him grab at his jumper with delight every time.

Bet your bottom dollar he will play forward again, and we need to pay the ungrateful moron some attention this time.

Dangerfield is also back, from the injury he did against us. Classic.

I don't feel confident at all either. Geelong are copping it in the media and we know how that ends.

Plus orange socks.

Stupid that we're playing this bunch of headbands for the second time already

While all matches are crucial, this one will give us the best indicator for a while of where we are at.
We must beat Geelong who will be returning to full strength for just about the first time since our last meeting.
Hopefully, we have close to our best team on the park (if Cerra returns).

Of course, even if we win, we must frank that win by beating the Tigers (who may also be at full strength for the first time in a long time).
But if we do that, then I think we can start to feel confident about our capability to nail a top 4 position.
Even if we subsequently lose to GWS (who will probably ALSO be returning to full strength with Coniglio and Aish adding to Kelly’s return last weekend). As long as we don’t get smashed.

However, if we do beat Geelong, I will be confident we can win the next 2 and put ourselves in a strong position going into the last 1/3 or the season.

Well, we are at close to full strength too now.

But agreed, we seem to keep getting teams at their strongest.

The way i see it….

If both teams play their best…everything
works for both…?

We beat them by 6 goals…!

We’re turning into a bunch of Vossy’s…we’re tough…!

Believe people…believe…!

Kindest regards tommi

Serious question: what does Vossy see in Orazio that I and many others here are not seeing?

I've watched him pretty closely in the last 3-4 games, and he's really stepped up his talk on the field (maybe he always had it) but he's out there and never shuts up.

maybe with doc gone, having that older, cool head to make sense of those hectic moments.

i have thought his last few games, he's been better. found more ball and pretty useful with it when he's hitting up targets inside 50, rather than camped down in the 50 doing nothing.

I am glad that they didn't bring in Marchbank for Cameron as the talk was this week.
As much as I like Marchbank first game back against Cameron would have been suicide

Marchbank has been very ordinary in the vfl the last month, he would be slaughtered by Cameron.

Vossy loves Fantasia. Having said that hope he has a good game.

Cats defence has really struggled the last month. If we are on our game & kick straight we'll win by 4 goals.

Fantasia? I must be missing something he is doing right, I guess it is some structural role or on-field coaching that makes up for his lack of more obvious contribution. Either that or the cupboard really is bare as to alternatives who are fit and in form, but gee he doesn't seem to be contributing much.

Role based selection. Fantasia fills the Cottrell role that has worked well for us. Half forward, pushes back to assist the defence and provides a rotation for the wingers.
Cameron is their key. He dines out on us and then goes half rat power against everyone else. For once I want Weitering to take the defensive ruck role against Hawkins. I'm sick of seeing him outmuscle our ruckman and kick/set up goals. Weitering is the one player with the strength to match him. Does Cincotta go to Meiers, Holmes or Stewart. It will be interesting to see what we do with Stewart. Since teams have been putting time into him, they've been far less effective as a team. I'm not sure who could do the job other than Cincotta. Williams maybe. Don't be surprised to see O'Connor go to Walsh.

Kennedy to Stewart maybe?

Agreed on Fantasia. I asked for Motts because that's the exciting option, but Raz makes sense and will do a good job.

Podcasters mostly seem to think Gov should take Cameron. I'd still go with Kemp to begin with, switch if it doesn't work. I want Gov intercepting and dictating play out of the back with Saad, not getting dragged all over the ground.

Kemp & Gov could wax for the role on Cameron to save energy.
Kemp is pretty good at intercepting too.

Who takes Stengle?
