Was good to see players and staff keeping a lid on it. (Except for Sayers). Cunners dropped a nice sarcasm bomb on BT and BT decided he’d worn out his welcome soon after that.

please do tell what cunners said

we would have lost. we would have drunk our own bathwater after the last 5 weeks and dropped it. with all those ins, bit players like cotterill, fog and kemp would have been forced out, and they have provided a fair amount of spark and depth which we needed to show. having these sorts of players in playing for their careers has certaainly helped to lift us

Pies missed those shots in the same way Hawthorn missed shots in the 2012 grand final. Our overall buildup of pressure got in their heads.

I thought pitto's actual ruck work was pretty good, but I need to watch the replay, which I cannot wait to do

Absolutely great win, one that we'll be talking about in many years to come. Someone said prematch they had Essendon* 2001 vibes about this game but it was actually more epic even. More outs to begin with, then Cerra, plus the differential in ladder position too.

Just so so so good to have proper small/medium forwards who know what they're doing. It affects the whole ground.

Go Blues

One cup won and done tonight.

Just one to go now ....

Why can't we be the dogs of 2016 all over again.
We ain't scared of anyone now.
If we can just stop losing key players for chunks of weeks.
Why not us indeed.

Loved it how the Pies chant lasted about 2 minutes, then the blues one slowly took over, like a strangulating python.

Geez I enjoyed that !

Both Charlie’s speech and Crippa’s were all about others.
Emblematic of how we have turned things around.

Can’t sleep

Was anybody else bracing for heartache last night? As well as we were playing, after a rocky start, when Cerra went down I thought that was it.

Still can’t believe what we did last night. We were 15th not that long ago. Unbelievable.

Great win
Pressure around the ground was enormous
Total team effort
We play better with McKay not playing forward
No real stars
Since the start of the second quarter of the GC game something has clicked with this team

We are playing the best footy of every team at the minute
Hard to believe
I’ll admit I got it wrong if we keep doing it
I also like the lack of celebration after the win on the ground
Nic Newman is just about AA

I loved the post match interview on Foxfooty with Cripps an Docherty giggling as they told Abbie Jones they just could believe the Collingwood players just kept on kicking it to Weitering.

You know what else I noticed?

The crowd never really got into it for them because we were constantly keeping up with them or ahead.

The only time they started up their stupid chant was when Howe kicked a goal to put them 3 goals down. And we kicked a goal almost straight away to snuff it out.

great win... great night. sky's the actual limit on this group. i'm super concerned about all the soft tissue injuires - when other club's aren't getting them to their midfield guns. we must be doing something wrong?

keep everyone fit, get walsh and cerra back. hopefully beat one of the saints or dees missing those two. then we take on GC and GWS - which won't be easy. GC up there, and then travel back for GWS which could be an elimination final.

Suggest those criticising Marchbank watch the game again.
Took some crucial marks (7) and knew where to run to. Take him over Young any day.

Agree. Thought on the whole he was good. Yes a couple of bad errors which I put down largely to it being first AFL game for the year. In fact only handful of games in a number of years. On the whole picked up the tempo well though.
