Gee it's tempting to send Plow back to VFL just so we feel we have some tall defenders in reserves lol

Hewett can rest up another week

Yep.

If Hewett is fit, he plays.
That's why we recruited him, and pay him.

We don't keep him out to give opportunities to players not his ilk.

Following the Crows' massive loss to GWS , some honest conversations took place post game to focus on individual failures, and a directive to increase the pressure on the opponent to the levels they did in wins against Richmond and Doggies.

I'm forgetting what they dished out vs GWS, and expecting Crows to come out fighting harder than last week.

Van Berlo said a strong response was needed against Carlton on Sunday.

“We are hoping that with some good reflection this afternoon, we hit the training track this week and we learn that we are able to respond really quickly,” van Berlo said.

They have Sloane, Smith, Seedsman and McHenry missing with injury. Big KPF, Tilthorpe, coming back from a knee injury 2 weeks ago, and last week rested due to covid protocols, so not expecting him to be selected.

Years of Carlton being flaky has me on edge every time we play a team that has been in poor form.

Can't seem to stop that nervous twitch everytime the opposition gets a goal.

Agree BB. If Hewitt is fit he plays. The only conjecture is who he replaces: Newnes or LOB? - if Voss follows the same pattern as previous changes

Setterfield missed the VFL game so I assume he was injured/rested? so why would he be in contention for selection this week. He should play VFL this week but if he is selected it would indicate he is the preferred wingman!

Carlton’s George Hewett will miss his second game with a corked calf.
