Round 22
Port Adelaide v Carlton
Adelaide Oval
Saturday 14 August, 4:35PM AEST

Backs: Liam Stocker - Jacob Weitering - Nic Newman
Half-backs: Adam Saad - Lachie Plowman - Tom Williamson
Centreline: Sam Walsh - Patrick Cripps - Lochie O'Brien
Half-forwards: Marc Murphy - Charlie Curnow - Jack Martin
Forwards: Eddie Betts - Mitch McGovern - Josh Honey
Followers: Tom De Koning - Matt Kennedy - Paddy Dow

Interchange: Brodie Kemp - Jack Newnes - Zac Fisher - Ed Curnow

Emergencies: Levi Casboult - Sam Petrevski-Seton- Corey Durdin- Lachie Fogarty

Is this a weak or terrible team. Can't decide.

Considering we have lost 3 talls in an already small team why Levi was not picked, for his height; ability to crash a few packs; and play down back. Yes I know he is virtually finished but why do we have Newnes or Williamson instead of Levi considering the overall opposition in both the ruck and their forward line.

Both Weitering and TDK are not going to enjoy the match.

I'm with you Teddy

If Levi isn't picked for:

a. rotate with TDK
b: Support Weiters to take on gorillas Ladhams and Dixon
c: Provide a realistic decoy for Charlie or target forward
d: security if any big man goes down

Then Levi's papers are stamped.

Thanks for the 10 years service Levi.
You punched above your weight and gave everything you could for the Blues.

Great to see Kemp played, but can see him debuting against Ladhams, coz Plow wont.

kezza, I didn't even hear that Jack was a possible out, let alone Charlie.

He got on the plane didn't he?

I would have loved to see:
Plowman - Parks
Newnes - SPS
Willo -Levi
Obrien - Fogarty

All make sense except for Plowman.

Plowman has been fumbling a lot lately, but Parks isn't up to it imo

Hey wouldn't make much difference, so yeah, go for it.

Plowman, reminds me of Thornton, with Thornton the better mark...had their good games, but FMD, they had some bad ones in key posts.

I am not so worried about Levi's papers being stamped as it is fairly obvious he is at the end of the road but it is so blatantly obvious that support for both Weitering and TDK is needed.

Also, McGovern is not KP height nor is Charlie really. Neither of them are probably fully fit. So we actually do not have even one KP in attack.

So what do we have

TDK 202cm
Weitering 196cm
Cripps 195cm
Kemp 194cm first game

If there is not a late withdrawal with Levi coming in, last excuse if there is one has gone for Teague as well as the MC.

IMO.

I very much hope I am wrong.

IMO.

I doubt Levi is fit anyway, he’s been hobbling around on one leg for most of this year and the second half of last year.

If it is his last year then I do hope he gets a game this week or next.

Whoever our new coach is - they’re going to get a clear look at which of our players are willing to take up the slack tomorrow- and believe me there is going to be plenty of slack to take up.

Load up on Port Adelaide at $1.13 - you haven’t been able to get that sort of return on your money since the early 90’s - during the recession we had to have.

I think someone quoted earlier that you could get $26 on port to win by 100+. Definitely something to look at.

Levi should be playing anyway. The last time we went in under-sized it didn't go so well.
