All the talk of this game being a big challenge and North a tough opponent, I'm not having it. Yes they've been competitive the past few weeks but let's keep some perspective. They are dead last on the ladder with 3.5 wins from 17 games and a percentage of 67. Winning this is an absolute non negotiable.

Bit of a rumour floating around that Kemp might get a run this week, and pretty much confirmed no Charlie.

Does Kemp play back and if so, who comes out or play further up the ground - is it Williams to play wing?
Does Kemp play forward as another big?

Interesting:

in: Cripps, Kemp, Murphy (sub)
out: Cottrell, Newnes, Fogarty (sub)

Completely agree with these changes

These would be good changes. Keen to get a glimpse of Kemp at the top level and for him to get a taste (but with no expectations at this stage).
I also agree with Jake - North are an honest team who have been playing at their best but they are still way below us if we both play to our best.
And, even with all of the disappointment this season, the two things that have been good is that a) we have not once been blown away on the scoreboard and b) we have pretty much beaten all the lower ranked teams we were expected to beat.

Reckon we'll belt 'em...............they are a good young bunch of up and comers who have been putting there best foot forward. But i reckon they are just about at the end of there run. That close loss against the Bombers will knock the stuffing out of them.I expect to hit the front early and improve our position from there.Reckon we will win this one by a big margin. We'll belt 'em i tell ya,we'll belt 'em.

We’ve got a 90pt deficit to get to 100%.

We should be pushing to make up a big piece of that this week.

We lose a lot of run over the 120mins with those outs and ins.

Agree Cotrell and Newnes do run up and down the wings and compete in the air. Can take out one of the two but not both - if Wlash stays in the middle then will need both to play the wings. Underrated position on the ground, need stamina, be good in the air and have decent ball use but running patterns defending and attacking is important.

Saturday 24 July, 1:45PM

Backs: Adam Saad - Liam Jones - Nic Newman
Half-backs: Lachie Plowman - Jacob Weitering - Zac Williams
Centreline: Ed Curnow - Patrick Cripps - Sam Walsh
Half-forwards: Jack Newnes - Jack Martin - Jack Silvagni
Forwards: Zac Fisher - Harry McKay - Eddie Betts

Interchange: Liam Stocker - Sam Petrevski-Seton - Tom Williamson - Matthew Cottrell

To my mind, there's a bit of 'late change' about the selections.

So no Kemp then?

One deep tall and three half sized half forwards that roam from position

It will drive Norfs half back line nuts. Filth had no answer to it second half of game they were just running everywhere in all directions from what I saw on TV as there was no key target.

Would love to see this one live hope we get to see Saints game live.

If Kemp is getting a game, why is he ahead of Ramsay and Honey?

All 3 deserve it but Ramsay and Honey have been knocking on the door for longer?

The Murphy to 300 push is going to completely screw with selection integrity for the next month

Absolutely!

The midfield group looks topped up and in form.
Our boys are a bit bigger across the ground.

The game starts and restarts and restarts with DeKoning and Goldstein.
TDK broke even in the end against Grundy in my books...with good support from Jack.

We win the centre clearances we are hot.
We are 4th in the AFL at scoring from centre square possessions: Dogs Frep and Swans ahead of us.

We look too strong in all areas other than the ruck.

No excuse. I want a win! Absolute non negotiable.
I'm hoping for a 50 point win. Our first this year.

Its going to happen.
Its a pity we are not in a position to be carrying anyone.
He's no harm as 23rd for 3 games and 4 quarters for his last in the last round.

Everything changes if we win the next 3, and its got nothing to do with Murphy.
If we are a Finals team this year...FMD...amazing in what we all consider a crap season.
We wont be thinking of Murphy. Finals will be the headline.

What will be will be with Murph. Enjoy the kids that are playing.

A fit Cripps in the forwardline will be great to see.
Could kick 7 like he did in AFLX.
and let Kennedy Dow Walsh and ed get it forward to him Jack n Harry.

Absolute joke !!

Every game is so important to keep winning and now they have to carry him

A incompetent board , and that includes Luke sayers , no control at all at this club and yes it is all intertwined!

Doesn't matter.

We can beat our heads on the wall :banghead: and it wont make a difference.

Have to accept it for what it is: somewhere between stupidity and respect.

He may surprise us all in his 300th, and I have no doubt this is his last season.

Lets win this game against North, and IF we can continue the effort, belief and rhythm from the last half we played, we should win by 2-3 goals per quarter.
We need percentage nearly as much as the win.

Got a good feeling for tomorrow's game at The Dome in Melbourne.

There's an air of Finals, game plan improvement and momentum building and with that pressure on spots with the imminent return of Charlie, followed by Gov and Oscar, and maybe Doc Pitto and Levi get up too, if Finals beckon, let alone the pressure from upcoming youth Kemp, Honey and Ramsay.

There will be Trades and delistings at the end of the season and pressure is also on SPS, OBrien, Setterfield, Williamson, Newman, Newnes, Fisher, Cottrell, Betts and all, bar two, are playing tomorrow.

I'm expecting Murphy to be named 23rd Sub.
