Sam Docherty going a little bit under the radar around here but having a brilliant season - could be close to leading our B & F. Has grown into his role over the last couple of years and is now our most dependable player down back (Andrew Mckayesque) - plays tall and small, a great interceptor, not overly blessed with pace but with a neat disposal and always takes the right option. Well done son.

Gibbs, Cripps, Curnow, Docherty, Simmo and of course Casboult all very good.
Love the the fact we are playing hard committed footy for 4 quarters.

Very happy with the win however lets not party like its 2004.

This was one of our best wins that i have seen in recent years. Yes it was against an injury depleted side but it was still a convincing win. Our pressure all day was great and the defence stood up well. As others have said if we kicked better we could have iced this game earlier but when they came at us we answered them. Great game by Casboult with his marking and kicking, hopefully it was the start of more to come. Simpson, Kernot, Gibbs, Cripps to name a few played well. Good structured footy all round though. I was critical of Bolton earlier in the season but hopefully the last 3 weeks are the start of a more structured, determined and full of heart team. Enjoy the win but as Bolton says lets not get too far ahead of ourselves.

PS. Loved the pic of Eddie at the end of the game. Think I will use it as my desktop screen.

Maybe because I'm very happy at the moment but that gave me a very big chuckle

I have to pinch myself - three on the trot, beating Essendon* and Collingwood. I don't care what happens from here on in, I got enough to get me by all season.

When the supporters around me at the 26 minute mark of the last quarter started standing and applauding, I knew two things:

1. We were going to win

2. But much more importantly, we had our football club back. Thank you Brendan Bolton.

Not that it matters. But who are the 11 players pies were missing?

Can't include Cloke & Brown - they were dropped!

Swan injured for the season.

Taylor Adams? Marley Williams?

Jamie Elliot is a yes. A very good footballer.

No pies have also overstated their list. Howe, Aish & Treloar would provide the polish to get to top4.

Richmond likewise.

Our 22 beat their 22.

I dont think that's overstating it at all.

Our pressure is really good at the moment and is making life hard for opponents to play cleanly.

Simmo Cripps ECurnow terrific.

Good pick up. We are definitely harder to play against.

Right up there for mine. Fantastic today.

Gibbs is, at times, too casual.

Reasonably skilful and energetic.

Watch those commas now.

Too soft.

He had a good game, but it would have been better if those crappy kicks inside 50 had hit a bkue jumper instead of a black white one.

My admiration for Simmo's game overshadowed how great Doc was today. The fact this guy loves the club so much stands out.
