Who? Simpson?

If so, I don't agree. I think he turned it around last week against the Doggies.
He has looked slow and his disposal efficiency has been crap all year.

I think he's only ever made to look poor when we play him as a small defender. He's a defensive midfielder who plays best in a zonal structure, not locking down a quick small forward.

Papley made him look second rate because White was keeping Byrne out of the team.

Hopefully Bolts will keep the lid on this week. Bombers are ripe for a shellacking but overconfidence could be our undoing.

KILL CRUSH DESTROY

That's the extent of my strategic input for this one.

Bit complex, couldn't you simplify it for the kids.

Defensively we have been solid so far this year. I'd expect another low scoring game against the Bombers too. Can we kick enough goals is always the query!

Technically, wasn't it CRUSH KILL DESTROY ?
Sentiment is there... and hopefully the same desire to not stop!

Well it's definitely Armfield for Buckley now, and it sounds like they don't think Jaksch is ready if Fraser is any guide, so Charlie and Jones keep their spots.

Graham, DVR or Cuningham in for a ruck? They all add more run and tackling pressure than a ruck, DVR has the best disposal but Graham isn't far behind and has scoring threat and composure on his side as well.

Calling for heads to be dropped just to ensure a win will stifle our long term development.

Sumner is a classy little player and will only improve. For someone who has played very little senior footy, he contributed a lot more this week than his couple of cheap goals last week. He keeps playing until he has a shocker.

Don't think a ruck will be dropped unless Bolton simply gives up on the dual ruck strategy altogether. Wood hasn't shown a reason for callup so we are left with Kreuz and Phillips unless we start changing structures even further.

Jones earned his spot in the team and then somewhat justified that selection. He stays until he provides a reason to be dropped on form.

Not sure there's much to gain by dropping Sumner unless he needs a rest over the next few weeks. He's coming from a way back fitness-wise. Best place to get fit is the firsts.

Buckley in danger of being dropped. Tuohy has underperformed generally too, but there's nobody of his quality to replace him yet.

Boekhorst in for Buckley if he is fit and maybe Jaksch will get a run if C. Curnow needs a rest.

Otherwise, back in the rest of the team that just beat Freo out west.

As Shan has said the only reason they will drop Phillips will be if they give up on the two rucks strategy.

They haven't yet.

Out:Buckley (inj)
In: one of army/DVR/Cuningham/ Tutt.

agree with you. Coaches notes mention consistency two weeks running. They are looking for something from him before he gets into the firsts

Amry then - perfect replacement and I often think he's a very underrated player in our side.

I agree, and his speed is an asset we don't have in abundance in our midfield at the moment.

Looking forward to seeing DVR and Cuningham, but only when they are ready. Not that Bolton would play them beforehand anyway.
