i think he was having a joke there Caz. he isnt far from the truth, 9 players having their first win as carlton players, leaves only 13 on
the outside

No he's a sad sack tool and enjoy's being so. That's his lot in life.

Ok, can all who posted during the match go back and read what Tommi posted. "Vitriol" was one of his words. I'm holidaying in a remot part of Bali but, given the age in which we live, had access to "footy live"- score by score stuff plus talkingcarlton commentary. Like watching the footy in Braille. Tommi nailed it when he referred to the, what I would call, anti Carlton commentary. A lot of posters sounded like Essendon** supporters today. Shame on you and, go support them next week. Negativity breeds negativity. Happily, I'll be back home to watch it live as this little black duck never wants to ensure that rubbish again

Great win

Draining

Thank Kerridge for putting pressure on whatshisname who kicked it to Jones

Perpective please ladies and gents...No Sandilands, Mundy, Fyffe (inj) Ballantyne (inj)

If we turn mid-season 3-8, we're tracking above expectation

Kruezer is not worth a pinch of...

Thomas should be entrusted to become the fwd half general just as Docherty appears to be the def general.

I have been away for the weekend and have not seen the game. Recorded it so will sit down now and watch it.
What a strange feeling winning is, and to have Richmond get beaten again makes it more sweeter.
Hopefully the players will get some confidence from this and go to win some more games this season.
What a fall by Freo, minor premiers last year to this.

Watched the game at Percy Jones' pub, with a big beautiful bunch of Blues tragics.
The passion and joy in that room on the final siren was unforgettable.
And I have never - ever - heard our song sung better.

I thought the perspective was that they have been the Team with highest Win/Loss ratio in the AFL these past 3 years and they played off in a Prelim last year. Plus in WA they are a 6 goal better team. On their best days in 2015, without those 4 players, they would still beat us by 10 goals on their home ground.

We are a bottom of the ladder team who played on shear guts, very little talent and a poorly functioning F50.

That's perspective.

Regards Cazzesman

Was probably the worst game of footy I have seen, but given where we have come from, will take it everyday of the week.

This win will install belief in the playing group that the game plan in place is the right game plan.

Yes!

And what a way they sung that song! Such unity and enthusiasm. It is actually a pleasure to be a Carlton supporter at the moment....despite our ability.

Glad they didn't save the airfares.

We have the Bummers and the Magoos next. We are far more talented and better structured than either of those 2 sides.

Sounds good.

When was the last time we won 2 in a row, yet alone 3 in a row... I can't remember......

Happy to take it 1 week at a time....

2 in a row....last year?

...on their own dung heap on the most significant day of the year. The Dockers take the Len Hall match very seriously .

Agreed, they were bad but it was on their home patch and they were minor premiers last season.

The result may end up saying a lot about them as round 1 did with Richmond but it was a great win by our guys.

Hopefully it can breed some confidence and we can continue working on better inside 50 entries and get some semblance of structure up there

Matty Wright battling four Dockers players on the forward pocket boundary line leading to a pressured kick and turnover mark. For a little bloke he doesn't mind putting himself in harm's way.
