No one is talking about Carlton winning this. The expectation is all on Freo this week. Imagine the backlash if they lose to Carlton at home to be 0-5.

If we start this week like we finished last week and put some doubts in their mind early things could get really interesting...:)

Bolton: We're a real chance this week if we execute for four quarters. #BoundByBlue
Bolton: Lachie Plowman was great last week. We think we've found a decent player there. #BoundByBlue
Bolton: @marcmurphy3 is ready to go on Sunday. #BoundByBlue
Bolton: We're expecting Andrejs Everitt to be available for selection. #BoundByBlue
Bolton: Our players are very clear on what they need to do to improve. We're training hard day by day, step by step. #BoundByBlue
Bolton: Levi Casboult is an exceptional contested mark. He's as good as anyone there. He's working hard on his goalkicking. #BoundByBlue
Bolton: The players are invested. We've created a great learning environment and we've changed our game plan significantly. #BoundByBlue

Dear Mr Bolton. We as Carlton supporters love your enthusiasm your energy your commitment and your passion for the club.
But I just want to remind you although you are new on the scene we are not a new franchise. There has been talk of rebuild, reset new beginning and starting from scratch.
But this club is over 150 years old. We have four Number 1 draft picks and 2 number 2 plus a number 3 and close to 20 1st rounders.
Some of these have been in the system for 7,8,9 and even 10 years.
On average we are older than are opposition each week.
You might be new but the playing list is not.
Teach this flower how to flower win. They have been playing long enough now to know what its all about.
We are not GWS or GC with a team full of kids and a handful of old heads.
Use what you have to get them to win.
Little signs of improvement from player x or y is not acceptable . We don't want green shutes we want grown trees. Because cliches and antedol signs of improvement will only wash for so long

Now bloody well win

If it were up to me it'd be Rowe, Philips and Buckley out for Everitt, Jamison and one of Jones/Jaksch.

It'd be great especially with Essendon*, Collingwood and Port coming up.

You're frustrated Sydney.

There's plenty of good signs, and the last 2 games you can blame all senior players. They are the ones fumbling and not leading the charge.

Game plan is fine. Ball isn't finding the mark.

Oh yeah...about those high draft picks....clearly they were not the best of breed for No 1's, 2's or 3's. We picked the wrong horses.

Judd Carrots Betts Waite Hendo and another dozen are gone..... all gone...it is a rebuild no matter how many high draft picks we have.
Half the team playing this year isn't going to make the first 22 of any of the top 10 teams....in fact its more than half of the team. Bolton knows that too.

If we can get execution right we can win a few. Bolton is right about the polish. We need to replace a lot of the list including thos high draftees. Gibbs and Kreuzer are not even top 20 picks imo...let alone others.

I don't think Casboult is after Boltons comments today.

Reckon it'll be only 1 of Jacksch/Jones coming in

We are best, as has been shown often, when we have Kreuzer rucking alot of the day with back-up from Casboult. When we have played 2 regular ruckmen both of them go like crap. Neither Kreuzer and Phillips are any good resting forward. Casboult can take a mark up forward (and kick a point...lol), and take plenty around the ground when rucking, even if he isn't so great in the tap ruck department.

It's not that.....it was our list management. We've stuffed it up year after year.

What happened was we dripped 1 talented player per year into an overrated bucket of dirty water and expected that one drop to change things, if anything that one drop gets changed by the bucket of shitty water it was added to.

This time we have strength in numbers, we have a young coach with a vision and soon enough we will be pouring cups of players in to start changing things. The list turn over of 15 players was a good start now we need to remain active in the draft and I expect another 8 - 10 changes next year. Our bucket will start to turn good soon enough.

Who can forget the year we couldn't decide which three players we could possibly cull. We though three was way too many and ended up making a call on Setanta over Bower.

Those were the days......
