And we must turn up at the general meeting too.

I hear the board has hastily adjourned to discuss Mick's future…

…shame all of them didn't fit in the pic.

That petition is meaningless. You need members with their membership number.

If it's meaningless, show me another avenue to represent a groundswell of support that signifies the level of disenchantment that's out there. I've had enough of hating footy, wanna see some glimmer of inspired proactive and strategic thinking, that says this club has a reason to be..

How else can members like me do to say this bunch longer represent its constituents ?

Make it so members have to include their membership number, so that there is some credibility to the petition.

What needs to happen is there needs to be a clearskin guy that's apart from the club.
If tom is serious about genuine change of culture he needs to allow a guy like h Mitchell to be the face of any rival ticket.. Short circuiting any real Elliott criticism.
They need to find the right talent that can synergize their skills and most of all they need to sell a message to Carlton people that they're about culture change and no quick fix.
They must tell people that they are about change from the ground up and will be honest and accountable. Transparent and all inclusive.

I fully expect the board to attempt to shore up their positions by pushing out Gleeson and replacing him with Chris Judd.
Chris has been very will looked after by the president and by the Pratts. His loyalty will soon be summonsed for service.

What's important is any new ticket must be lobbied into having a viable long term plan and not be looking at occupying current culture toxicity under another bunch of names.

Elliott knows Carlton people want instant fixes but I sure hope he's about genuine long term prosperity and not superficialdom to appease voters.
This club needs some deep thinkers on genuine restructure.

He is too close to his Dad. Has him on every week on radio etc. I would be very reluctant to go back to the future.

I would love to see Judd as a Board member at some stage.

I would like to think Chris Judd is too smart to allow himself to be used as a puppet in the way sticks kernahan was created by Elliott to gain credibility with the zombies out there.
I hope juddy took everything they have him and stays away from the politics for a reasonable length of time..
These people are expert at tamagotchi politics.
They find something feed it. Water it.. Take care of it.. Then they have a virtual friend forever...
This is why they choose Chris Judd to befriend our sticks etc over Lucas.
Creates dangerous layers of value among a group

You're not close to your dad? Are you also your dad?
Did you not take anything from anybody else apart from your dad?
And why do you want to see Chris Judd on the board? What's he shared with you about what he has to offer exactly?

You see mikky it's exactly the reason why you'd like to see Chris Judd on the board that they will invite him on.. He will of course pass the independent review process..
You have no clue about anything re juddy but as far as your concerned you would like to see him on the board.
Do you understand how this works? And culture?

Not sure if there is a specific post discussing the Board.

Plenty of discussion about the board needing to take accountability for our current plight. Here is a morsel of an example that aggravated me yesterday.

Played golf with a well connected/respected AFL contributor.

Shared that the AFL were involved in our recent search for a new CEO. During the process a 'respected CEO' was encouraged to meet with Carlton and members of its board.

After meeting half of the board, the said 'respected CEO' fed back to the AFL that there wasn't a hope in hell they could work for Carlton.

A number of concerns with that story.

It is time for a board spill an open election... they have made a mess of this club

I have read what he writes and hear what he says. He is clearly a very smart person and one of the best players of his generation. He would know something about a successful culture. I did not say be on the current Board. I wrote "at some stage". Read properly FFS before slamming people.

Wish Eddie McGuire was a Carlton man. We need a strong leader to unify the board and we as yet haven't had one since Big Jack.

What did you read about his philosophies on rebuilding a football club?
Which is his most telling article about cultural change?

Maybe they asked the afl for money and the afl stepped in and said no you don't have the money to pay him out you have to keep the afl legendary coach..
Might be the case

Tom wrote a piece last year about no quick fixes, and reiterated again last week that "the era of quick fixes is well and truly over".

The board can say these are Essendon* supporters trying to stir up trouble.
I wouldn't personally publish membership numbers online.
Who knows how they will be used.

A petition at the footy next week will be a lot more effective
