Not sure about his coaching, or team, though they are sitting pretty at the moment, but Buckley presents himself very well in the media. I thought he was a flower on the field, but off it he is quite the opposite.

Wonder if there'll be a forward tag on SEEDSMAN!

That's not the same Paul Seedsman that some people on here criticised me continually on here when I said he should of been picked ahead of Nick Duigan? :yikes:

A superstar like the SEED needs someone to stop him dominating.
That goal he kicked this year was game changing!

Long time ago now, but I can't recall you, or anyone else, recommending Seedsman leading up to or immediately following the draft. He was a bit of a smoky the way I recall it.

And so it shall be in a 1000 years. You say that like it's forbidden.

One day, a man will walk into a Chinese antique store, looking for a gift for his young son.

As he kicks up a swirl of dust in afternoon light that creaks through a solitary high window of the shop, he will come across a group of cowering, fuzzy creatures. Turning to the old man who runs the shop, he will ask "what are these?"

"Why," the old man will say with a sense of gravitas, "those are Carlton footballers."

"I've been looking for a gift for my son," explains the man, "and this seems perfect. He can raise them to be a real football team."

"DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THEIR APPEARANCE," the slightly old man will bellow, much to the surprise of this unsuspecting customer; the old man recomposes himself "they are pretenders, but perhaps with great care they can become a solid football team, providing some ability for growth to greatness through solid list management."

"I'll take them!"

"They are not for sale."

"They are in your shop, I will pay whatever you want; I must have them."

"They are not for sale. We are closed now, goodbye."

A much younger shop worker will walk out behind the counter, and escort the old man out as he rants quietly about trades and free agent signings in hindsight. Once the old man is gone, he will turn to the prospective buyer with a keen look in his eye: "he is a noble man my grandfather, but he has grown old and stubborn; we need the money and we will sell you the CFC."

"Excellent, shall we work out terms?"

"We shall, but as my grandfather alluded to, this team is a great responsibility and there are certain things you must never do."

"Handling instructions? Ok, what are they?"

"Never expose them to the harsh light of public opinion; they will wilt under the pressure constantly, particularly Herald Sun articles.

Never pour cold water on them or the fans. Or throw the baby out with the bath water, or turn up the heat. Basically no liquid-based metaphors of any kind.

And finally, NEVER LET THEM WIN FOUR GAMES IN A ROW."

They will discuss terms, and finalise the deal. And so it shall come to pass that the descendants of Synbad finally release their grip upon the CFC, to the potential doom of all.

It's taken us a month to manage to win one in a row!

He can control the Seed with his superior muscle control.

..watto's last afl match 16 touches.. ..in fact looking over his 19 game career, he usually manages to get a bit of the ball..

And still they persist with the play him one week and if he stuffs up at all it's the Guillotine. Dumb.

Got a (weird) good feeling about this one. Judd, Menzel and maybe Whiley are huge ins, and our form isn't that bad last two weeks.....beat Bummers with straight kicking, and 65 point turnaround against the Ain'ters. Add Mick's record match and voila ! Baggers by 19.

Not sure who'll go for the Ins, but Ellard (despite doing his job again) and Curnow (we'll have to start cutting him to move forward) are the obvious ones. Pleeeeease don't drop Boeky after one, he is quick and we need pace to break lines.

Hopefully Dinger can run amok again ?

Carrazzo seems are more obvious candidate for the drop right now than Curnow. He redeemed himself after being put on the chopping block.

Carrazzo, despite the injury, did himself no favours. The injury won't help his case either.

Curnow getting 2 coaches votes makes it unlikely he will get dropped (especially if it was mick giving the votes), at least one of the coaches thought he was effectual. Really hoping Whiley comes in with Menzel and Judd, don't think Carazzo has done much all year. would like to see Watson given a chance but I can't see the coaches wanting to make too many changes

Is there a match up for Curnow this week? He'll play if there's a specific role for him.

He'd blanket Swan, Seedsman or Adams no problems. I'd put him on Pendlebury if Whiley wasn't an option.

Offers more spread than Carrazzo right now, just have to use him.
