Does the suspension ban them from registering at any football club in the country, or just to be draft eligible?

If it's the latter, I think there'd be kids who'd be happy to sit out the 2 years, study and pick up a cheque from a VFL/VAFA/WAFL/SANFL/etc club. At that point a club is probably going to back down and let them have their way, while bad mouthing them up and down the industry to affect their future wages.

If the above case is a regular concern, bump it to 4-6 years. Put their career properly on the line.
