I reckon we might get pumped.

Win? lel.

We'll be pumped.

The game will perfectly encapsulate our woefully inadequate/lazy midfield and the papier-mâché spine we've assembled.

It'll continue the eternal mids vs. kpp players argument.

Good luck to the young ones and the battlers, because our senior players have a history of going missing in games against sides of Sydney's calibre. The silver lining will be the continued improvement of Rowe, Menzel, et al.

I am heading up to Sydney early tomorrow morning. Not anticipating a win so what ever happens i will not be disappointed.
Just some effort please.
Weather will be a bit better in Sydney than down here so i will be doing a bit of sight seeing.
Go Blues.

Pissing rain at the moment

I'm actually more concerned with the Carrazzo injury. Not about his longevity in the game, although now that is becoming a key discussion point, but once he was off the ground, we got blown away in the clearances.
When I had a look at the game on relay, my beliefs were confirmed.
He alone in the 1st half was a huge extractor and no one stood up in 2nd.
I'd hate to see what Sydney will do to us without Carrazzo!

You're concerned about Carrazzo missing???

Maybe I need to say this differently for some.....but yes, we need to fix our clearances and centre structures without Carrazzo in the team.

Carazzo needs to not play in navy blue again.

done dusted kaput all that

Been away and just read the post-St Kilda thread followed by the pre-Swans thread.

Found it interesting that the post-Saints posters and the pre-Swans posters were almost an entirely different spread.

So it seems we have a section who like to look forward to the next game, possible match ups, ins/outs, injuries, both positive and negative........

And we have the ones who look back and judge, who played well, who got smashed, who we should drop ..... both positive and negative .......

Both groups valid, of course.

Noticed that Synbad was particularly vocal as a post-game poster and would love to hear his opinion pre-game as to how we might match up against the Swans and indeed any other game for the remainder of the season.

Understanding, Synbad, that you don't believe our list is up to it, and that we can only turn over a limited number per year, what would you be doing if you were our list manager?

Sydney hasn't lost a game in a very long time. If we break their streak, it will be a major miracle.

Sydney are beatable. Due for a loss. 6 day break after a trip to Perth in a tough heavy game in the rain. Tippett out. Kieran Jack hasn't started in a centre bounce for weeks due to carrying broken ribs.

That's not to say we can beat them. Just that a team that is switched on and ready to play would have a chance. But who knows what Carlton will turn up.

They were beatable in last years final too - 2 players down early, less rotations and they pantsed us.

As I said they're beatable by a team that puts up a fight. Never said we would

You raise some valid points em20 and no Dan H helps too. Trying to match 4 gun mids instead of 5 is not so daunting, but a huge challenge nonetheless. I think we can really push them, but can see us losing by about 2-3 goals, the "lack of class" factor at play again. Would love to be wrong, though.

Also worth keeping in mind we've played ok for 2 weeks so we're due to put in one of our uncompetitive efforts considering we can't string 3 good games together.

Because it will be a night game, the O'Reilly stand is ok. Churchill Stand is nice but the prices are hideous.

In terms of watering holes, Surry Hills isn't too far away. There's a couple of pubs closer to the ground but they're bound to be filled with ignorant Swans supporters.
