Interested to hear what GWS has to say about all this

GWS, your monica is 'Get Well Soon' not 'Greater Western Sydney'?

I wouldnt be surprised if Simmo lines up on Patton at the start of the game, after the balls up against Geelong playing Rowe on Hawkins, l wouldn't be surprised if he has another masterstroke up his sleeve to lose the game in the first half of the game.

Dn't blame the umpires for the geelong match, game was lost as soon as rowe started on hawkins. But, Malthouse blames umpires instead of taking accountability for his flower up move.

GWS wouldn't surprise with a win here. Better game plan and the players are playing for their coach, which will be the difference if they keep up the form the last few games.

Drop the Rock. Please Mick, just do it.
Docherty looks he needs a rest too.
Would like to see Graham given a whole game and Johnson sub.

I hope he makes a fool of me, but I can't get excited by Johnson. Obviously I hope he does well and good on him for being picked in the squad, but he doesn't jump out at me as an exciting AFL prospect. Looks like a slowish medium sized flanker to me. The MC who, let's face it, know a lot more about him (and football generally!) than I do, obviously see something there. What weapons does he bring to the team?

Interesting abns. I was the same last year when we drafted him. Doesn't look much to me and doesn't have any special tricks that someone of that height may need.

Having said that he is obviously playing well and the skill he does have is kicking a goal or two we lack. If he gets a run good luck to him as we need as much quality as we can get.

My only concern with side is that if Hendo plays we are a bit too tall for my liking. Really liked the balance last week, thought it was our best for the year.

I hope Graham gets a full run.

Curnow (if named in final team) is probably in straight away because the club think his elite endurance will mean he hasn't lost match fitness. I suspect that might come back to hurt us though.

If Graham gets dropped and Brock doesn't I'll be annoyed.

..just seems too soon for Curnow, not sure if there are other sports with the same (approximate) demands on the body that have as short recovery times as afl..

I'm tempted to suggest Armfield-Graham-Henderson-Docherty(sub)

Curnow I think would be best given a run in the magoos, Docherty is looking a bit tired but would be a good sub and if not called on early might be freshened up at least as effectively as a run in the twos would do. Might be a bit tall, but GWS have some size about them too and I think Hendo is too valuable to drop back to the seconds. If the height is an issue bring in Johnson in lieu of Hendo.

Off topic but I'm up in Sydney for the weekend and want to know if they were training anywhere before the game?

Anyone?

Yeah sorry - official. The FWIW, was for the fact that you'd expect a late out or three.

Brock in over Graham? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Robbo under injury cloud. And given he has played forward lately, I'm guessing Johnson might be the logical replacement if he doesn't play.

GWS have an extra tall compared to us so they might try to stretch us down back.

I think Mclean has been pretty solid lately. I am glad they kept him in. :yikes:
