Heartless, pathetic shambles of a quarter

Are we really that surprised this group dishes up this tripe

Robbo, Gibbs, McLean 2 possies
Carazzo, Waite 1
Jamo, Rowe 0

Passengers tonight. So many of them

Whatever happens in the game, the start is unacceptable and we accept too much of it

We've had the ball on lots of opportunities - they've kicked 5 behinds.

Just kicking to contest under contest; so smart given the surplus of contested marking kings at Carlton

Under Mick's plan Ellard is meant to win all these one on ones in the air.

no point getting the footy when you then have no support or no structure ahead of you.

we have had the ball plenty of times and had absolutely nothing to go to

the players are playing like they are thinking that too.

incredibly uninsipring

Wow, what a terrible, dumb first quarter. Anyone realise that the conditions are slippery? Players slipping over. Trying to flick it around by hand. And where's the defensive goalkeeper? At least 2 of their goals bounced through. Simmo was in a terrible position on one occasion.

Midfield absolutely smashed. Did Gibbs win a possession? Because he certainly didn't look all that interested in running or applying any defensive pressure.

Shocking miss from Hendo.

Going to be hard to get back in the game from here in those conditions.

Yes- show how weak we are.....
We have no runners.
Mids don't defend our run forward hard enough. Players like the game easy...
This is the Sydney game from last year...

The bottom team wants it more than us.
They are hungry. W just came up to have a run around the park and go home with 4 points.
We should still win this but it is going to need a massive change.
Nobody wants to get the hard ball and keep it moving.
Who is Zorko? Apart from possibly BOG in the first.
Brown v Hendo in terms of providing a target.......
is Waite playing? Thomas?
Thank goodness for Robbo.
Murphy doing OK against a hard tag. Simmo being tagged. Time for Yarran to do something off half back.

No fancy stuff. Just tough it out and peg those goals back.

No run.
No skill.
No commitment
No plan
No marking power
No leadership
No idea
No hope

It's over.

The ease at which the lions are able run off half back and through the middle unattended is
Unacceptable.

And I know we're short of depth, but clearly Carrazzo isn't anywhere near fit. Doesn't want to kick on his right foot.
