With Robbo it could be ongoing concussions rather than discussions.

I'm one for turning over the list but unless you are picking up some traded/free agency players then 12 is too much. 9 picks in a national draft is way too many, we would have the last 5 live picks. Plus you have to think of next years draft and the ones after that. 6 picks in the national draft max unless we traded for alot of high picks. No point having 9 picks this year and back to 3 next year. Better to have 6 this year and 6 the next.

Shouldn't the number of picks be based upon available talent?

with the ''12'' going, we have FA, national draft, rookie draft and the preseason draft...
if players aren't going to improve, then move them on, list cloggers..
carlton looking hard at kristian jaksch from GWS, probably a second rounder...
with docherty, menzel, cripps and buckley, its a good start with our rebuild...

Can't see any others on the list at this stage who have a chance to play in a Carlton flag though hopefully Cripps and a couple of others step up (not including them at this stage as they've neither shown that they might or might not).

Gibbs and Murphy may still be hanging on playing lesser roles in their final years but maybe not.

Start with that list and add four good footballers per year for five years.

It's a huge ask.

And thats how you rebuild. It is possible to build a premiership contender.
Very difficult to win a flag against the COLA's and cheats.

I think there's a few good years ahead for Gibbs Murphy Thomas Everitt, and believe Bell will become a star.
Giles and Cripps look like keepers too.

There's 11 good ones at least on that list to work with.

2014 add a FA, add a 2 Trades and 2 good draftees = 5 good additions giving us 16 good players
2015 add a FA, add a 2 Trades and 2 good draftees = 5 good additions giving us 21 good players
2016 add a FA, add a 2 Trades and 2 good draftees = 5 good additions giving us 26 good players
2017 can be a year we compete for a flag. Top 4.

and because everyteam has its blue collar workers in the bst 22 we will develop a few more already on our list.

Its not too far away. In fact if we have a dream recruiting year and a fantastic preseason...and a few above us have avreage years with form and injury....ther's hope.

I think these guys for one reason or another will not be here next year:

Judd
Kreuzer
Lucas
Temay
McInnes
Garlett
Carrazzo
Plus Duigan obviously.

That's 8 spots on the list.

Probably because he can't kick more than 40 metres anymore.

judd has been not worth his one million plus a year for 3 or 4 years... players only earn that kind of overs at carlton.....

hes been at best 400k a year for the last 4 years
