I know they're unpredictable at best but I really don't think Murphy will go for that.

If Lecras and Roughead only got 1 week, surely murph couldn't be suspended with his good record

Does this mean our blokes are all clear?

No. I watched that video while I was waiting for last night's game coverage to start.

Patrick Keane ‏@AFL_PKeane 39m

All players have accepted the MRP sanctions from weekend's matches from the penalties offered yesterday. Carl/StK match to be reviewed today

Signs of a rebuild / rejuvenation of the side without it being labeled a rebuild.

LeCras smashed the GWS kid into next week, no way Murphy should get the same penalty for his bump.

I've seen a few things this year that indicate White has some real C&$t in him. I like it. I suspect Mick would too.

Being there live last night I think that our fitness levels are up to scratch, we havn't died away in terms of run over 4 quarters for the last 4 weeks (8 goal last term against the pies, even though was an insipid first 3 quarters). My theory is a lack of concentration that is contributing to the lack of consistency through games. Classic example is straight after half time last night, 7 goals up at half time and they bang on 2 or 3 within the first 3 minutes. 4 quarters of good football is the direct result of 4 quarters of being switched on.

White one week at worst, but expect a reprimand.
Murphy no case to answer. The MRP say "if you choose to bump and hit the head you're in trouble". Murphy didn't choose to bump, the contact was accidental and he was attempting to pull up in the split second he had.

IMO

Yeah but the tribunal and the rules as they are drawn up don't care if it was an accident. According to the ballerina rule 5.2 "a player must be able to anticipate within a split second what way the ball will bounce and what his opponents will do. He then must make a piroutte around oncoming traffic and ensure he doesn't contact anyone anywhere at anytime. Any contact, whether accidental or on purpose, has a minimum load of 125 demerit points"

Therefore Murphy should expect about 6-8 weeks penalty based on his disgraceful action of accidently running into a player that was on a collision course and was pushed in his direction. Any less than 6 weeks and I will be disappointed.

I think Robbo is in trouble for his jumper punch, made contact even though he had his jumper over his head at the time.

Went to the game, pretty ordinary but a win is a win.
Terrific games by Yarran, Gibbs and Simmo.
Menzel's 2nd quarter was fantastic and pretty unlucky not to get the RS nomination this week.
Docherty looks a good player.
Hate Monday nights, hopefully that is the last one we have to play.

I was more perplexed with the free wheeling reference, just seems a little stubborn on not wanting us to play an attacking game even against weak opposition.

It was fairly ordinary for the most part, but from where we are coming from take the win and move on.

The obvious positives for me were Menzel, Yarran, Buckley, Gibbs and Army.

Rowe is working his guts out and giving himself every possible chance to make it, would be one hell of a story if he did.

We still need to improve a lot, at our current standard its hard to see us winning anymore than 8 games this season.

Which might be justified. Just develops bad habits.

Can't remember who it was or when but someone said that when Carlton attack more down the corridor they get heavily scored against on the turnover. Skills aren't there to pull it off consistently.
