Gibbs called Tony Shaw & Matty Lloyd irrelevant. He can stay.

Who mentioned Hawthorn? Personally I think it will be Adelaide.

I mentioned them three months ago. Someone else mentioned them a few posts ago.
It's a possibility.
They have plenty of money.
Their mids are getting on.
They will win two or three more flags in Gibbs's footy life.
They are the Carlton of the 70s. Just top up the list with players you need and stay in the top 4.

Good, I hope he goes, I don't care where.

Although I think he'll stay.

He needs to stay, we need to keep every talented player we have, he has never been dropped, hardly ever injured, he has thrashed players like Goodes and Goddard, plays well in any position, good one on one.

His only problem is that he is a Wayne Hughes number 1 pick, probably for the other recruiters he was a 10-18 pick, we should add a Hughes factor when assessing our players, maybe add another 10 spots and then assess them.

everyone would have taken gibbs with a number 1 .
rewind that season to the season prior and most people thought selwood was the pick for the year coming up.. but a knee injury had him slip
but at the point of the draft everyone would have taken gibbs at one

..but they are smart, doing what cats also do, and what port are now doing.. ..they don't paid big dollar contracts.. ..they won't buy in a star on big coin, and certainly won't pay good money for a player with suspect ability.. ..and yes gibbs does have suspect ability.. ..without real conviction, all talent is suspect..

Ideally?

Give me the list, the numbers and 5 years experience working with player contracts.

There's a mountain of shit written by all and sundry when it comes to contracts.

I'm not a fan of contracts longer than 3 years.

..yeah meant just an approx., there's always wiggle room inside contracts.. ..I don't mind four years, he is a durable sort,, ideally I would do 4/450, or 3/500.. ....it's hard to see who has earned the right for more.. ..probably hendo when we extend his contract..

There were some people on this website (or TBV) who wanted Selwood over Gibbs.

The Cooney/Walker draft would have to be one of the worst drafts ever.

Yeah Gibbs was the consensus number 1 pick, with a bit of daylight to 2nd.

his junior football hasn't exactly equated to the AFL. Mostly due to his one-speed running, imo

What makes you say that? Heard something or is it the presser yesterday?
