Could be an omen. Last time we had an Elliot in charge we won 2 flags and played in 5 GFs.

He did alot of good things......just pretend the rest didn't happen and we ended up broke and on the bottom for years....lol!

Anyway, his son sounds different and very savvy. We have to judged him as Tom Elliot, not son of Jack

the strange thing about Brain cells is that they dont regenerate when they are destroyed or damaged.

The only cell in the body that has this property apparently. (I would watch the Pussers and Zacapa intake if I were you Mr S)

(although I did read somewhere recently that perhaps brain cells can regenerate under the right circumstances - I may forward that medical article to Sticks tomorrow)

Big jack also left a huge financial mess and oversaw draft penalties that came at the wrong time.

And incidentally, President Rice won back to back flags in 81/82 didn't he? wasn't there very long too.

thanks mate...i assumed thats the main reason why you established on this site that tom elliott was the perfect presidential candidate because he wanted to return games to princes park.

If Tom is pro CEO and he keeps harping what a great job the CEO is making whilst he still acknowledges the Mathieson input.. hes definitely in the old Sticks pro Pratt camp.. he definitely isnt an independent

correct.

Elliott defends the great job of the current CEO and administration with Carlton having the following key indicators:

1. Is now bottom 4
2. Has a membership of some 44,000
3. Has a debt of $5.8 million
4. Is losing corporate sponsorship
5. Has the largest Board of 12
6. Has a divided Board
7. Has 3 number 1 draft picks
8. Has a poor recruitment record
9. Has no dedicated list manager
10. Has a poor player development record.
11 Has no Premiership for 19 years.

Yep - Tom Elliott supports the current status quo of the pro-Visy Group and Kernahan.

Mathieson has been gunning for Swann for a long time.. the problem is the club is Cookie or no change.
But when the Mathieson camp gets swept into power Swann is gone.
Which also means the club is being run by Oligarchs no matter what Michael Jezz says.
I think the events of the last couple of days leaves things in no doubt how this club runs and functions.
Oligarch central.

More likely its his way of saying "thanks but no thanks".

Pretty sure hes interested for board but not for presidency.
Thats already been settled.
So asking him about presidents spot is abit over the top and unsettling....
But he is on record to have the board reduced.
There are so many benign board members...
Greg Lee
Zac Fried
Adrian Gleeson
Marcus Clarke
Ahmed Fahour (stonewalled)
Jeannie Pratt
Ruffy Germinder

Thats seven .. the others are just behind
