-From best to worst-

Garlett might have had his best game in navy blue.
Judd and Murph did their thing.
Yarran was a real handful.

Jamison and Henderson had the better of their opponents. The aerial ball was never the big worry, it was their smalls that killed us. And I hate to say it, but Henderson looked alright when he went forward.

Kreuzer relished the number one ruck role, and threw himself into everything. But given his opposition we can't heap to much praise on him. Lynch might have got close to winning the duel in the end.
Robinson attacked the ball both in the air and on the ground as well as you could ask.

Gibbs was MIA for big chunks of the game. Very disappointing from a guy who looked like he'd taken the next step last week.
Lucas showed some really good signs, but those missed tackles were unforgivable.

Bell, Carrazzo, Armfield, and Simpson frankly looked a level below. All of them either didn't get anywhere near enough of it, looked out of time and space when near it, or butchered it by hand and foot when they got it. It'll be interesting to see how many of these 4 will be best 22 in twelve months time.

Rowe put in a serviceable effort. Needs much more conviction at the marking contest though. Something to work with.

Walker played 15 good minutes and was back to his usual selfish antics after that. Completely unaccountable when he was given a job by the coach to move down back in the last. This guy is a senior player. Thank god 2011 gave him some trade value.

Laidler frankly looked injured.

Casboult took 3 good marks but did virtually nothing else. That marking ability though is rare, and if developed properly he'll be a weapon one day.

Bootsma completely out of his depth again. Gave up some crucial goals, and still lacks size. I have faith he will eventually come good, and games like this are important for him going forward, but he was a liability.

Tuohy is adding nothing. Is it confidence? We're all reasonably certain he has the tools. Needs to get his hands on it in the VFL for a while.

Davies - my god the goat pictures do exist!

So you're like jake and think you can put your opinion out there and no one can touch it?

The forums are for discussion, if you don't like people challenging your opinion, and providing some balance to the discussion, start an online blog and don't allow comments.

Then people can really choose whether they want to read it or not.

Everyone can put their opinion out there...some just use poor reasoning in their arguments. No ruckman. Using a sub early. A midfield of Murphy/Judd/Gibbs/Carrazzo/Kreuzer/McLean/Robinson/Bell against a midfield missing Beams and Thomas.

You don't get these opportunities often. Good teams capitalise. 10 days break to 7.

Pathetic

I will point out a few positives though in Yarran and Henderson, who were good to great no matter where on the ground they were put, as well Garlett filling Eddie's shoes well and relishing being the guy to run at the packs and swoop.

On the flip side Bootsma isn't keeping up with the pace for long enough in games (but his good play is excellent), Davies was incompetent and Rowe had an abysmal first half. Our forward structure combined with our choice for 50 entires conspire to be incapable of opening up a zone without raw pace, while we effectively got the output of 4 men from 5 in our defensive set up.

Casboult should have had more output than broken packs and knock-ons. Rowe made him look second rate after the break, which is a credit to Rowe as much as it is a wake up call to Levi. Initial changes would be Hampson for Levi, Buckley for Bootsma and Scotland for Davies. McInnes would be invaluable right now.

Our bottom 6 players are a huge problem to much to to few

That said with a slightly better run from umpires could of easily win

Pies will be top 2

Worst defence and offence since Pagan days, amazed we got that close the shock of jolly took them a while to think through then good night. Thouhy, Davies, boots, laidler, casboult,Robinson & Simpson all needed a zone 1 ticket, can't win with that many down.

Wow, the best yet. Today's team beats pagans team by ten goals plus. Ridiculous post.

Judd laidler still rusty. Hampson waite betts our best 3 forwards out.
Bring warnock in to take the ruck duties. Kreuzer as ruck rover /follower
Whole team learning the new game plan, second guessing themselves.
Lots of upside.

I'm really [REDACTED] off. We led for most of the goddamn game.

Why were we so flat in the last? We had a 10 day break and looked fit in the last against Bitchmond.

Kane Lucas' tackling is @#$%&! abysmal, cost us a goal.

Marcus Davies' decision making, cost us a goal.

Bootsma is still learning but back to the 2s please.

Dennis Armfield had a bad game but he's usually consistent.

Kade Simpson, what's going on?

Yarran, Garlett were very good. Kreuzer and Jamo did well.

Umpiring was crap, so sick of seeing pissweak free kicks get paid and absolute textbook ones not.

Good teams recruit players to fill those holes when injuries come. Our recruiting has been poor. Luckily MM is finding out early.

I said after Fev got the boot play Yarran at full forward. Man, that's like a life time ago. He was good, some times great off half back, but he could kick 80 goals playing full forward.

Just do it Mick.

Yeah, yeah.

"Worst players, too soft, worst bottom 6 in the league, softcock footballers, pathetic, weak as piss" blah, blah

Isnt it strange how this same bunch of players beat these blokes by a total of 83 points last year.
Funny that.
