grro the entire world has issues and most are life and death minute by minute. Some on here seem to think the end of the world is near because CFC is struggling. The vitriol and hatred in the posts of many beggars belief.

People need to get a life, pure and simple. I understand people need to have a passion and a hobby and it is mine, but for goodness sake supporters need to just get a grip on reality.

It is 2 hours in a week out of 168 hrs. Show some perspective for goodness sake. It's a piece of leather moved from 1 end to the other, that's all it is. A large portion of the world population doesn't have enough to eat or pot to piss in.

Regards Cazzesman

With an attitude like that, you could play for the club right now.

If that's how you're feeling about football then I reckon you need a break from it.

It might not be life and death but it's metaphorical life and death. This is how "civilized" societies work through their angst.

I want every employee of my football club to bleed every year they don't win a premiership. Being told to get a grip on reality and think about world poverty tells me that you're not really understanding the reason we love our game and particularly our club.

Sorry mate.

That has to go down as one of the stupidest posts I have ever read.

This is a football club. People love it, they support it, they look forward to it, they are passionate. Without supporters it is NOTHING.

People don't think the world is ending. They are angry that their club is performing well below their expectations.

Maybe your attitude is a reflection of the what is happening at the club. "It just doesn't matter".

Seriously Cazz, I hope those types of attitudes aren't reflective of the attitudes at the club! Fair dinkum!!
45K+ members certainly dont feel like being so flippant about the sad current state of affairs @ PP

If we were only allowed to get passionate about the stuff that "really" matters, the club wouldn't exist.

Carlton only exists because a whole bunch of people care about it BEYOND REASON.

To ask anyone to be "reasonable" and have a sense of perspective about watching our club sit with its thumb up its arse, is to deny the very reason we support the club. And the very reason the club exists.

The danger isn't people caring too @#$%&! much!! It's them caring too @#$%&! little!!

With so many posts by people saying how depressed they are, and constantly using nicknames like Sticks and Ratts, it's very reminiscent of high school around here these days. Bloody Carlton supporting teenage bloggers!

You miss the point GWS.

Point 1) Posters are pouring vitriol on people they don't even know. How many of you have ever met Justin Cordy or even know what he looks like. Every rumor here is treated as gospel and peoples characters are shredded on the basis of some anon poster on a web site. Here's a fact. Just because you post here doesn't make your words true and factual. That is a fact that gets lost in the witch hunt.

Should the recruiting staff berate every player who doesn't make it because they have failed us? Should every player be held up to ridicule because someone is better than them? By all means berate the Recruiters but leave the kids out of it.

Point 2) I watched 88 kids run around today at Geelong. Some will make it onto an AFL list and some will not. I can back it in that all 100% who make it to 1 AFL game will be spoken about negatively by some faceless wonder on a website. And I can back it in 110% of those drafted by Carlton most certainly will trashed for no real reason other than the trashee is anon.

point 3) GWS I am as shattered as anyone about our plight because I like many had high expectations for this season. But come-on, you are far more educated than to suggest you would give a flying fig about Carlton if a member of your family was ill or your business was on the decline.

Its a footy forum!!!

This is what it is.

You too can have your say..... but so can we.

At the end of the day the board reflects people reflects reality reflects perception.

You might be right.. the recruiting is excellent.. the development is excellent.. strategies are great.. conditioning people unbelievable.. coaches amazing.. board is superb....

and all this is bad luck so we shouldnt comment about it..

but im amazed if you can stop it.....

cos people have emotions.

Well thats 44 years of my life I won't get back then.

Ooh. 44. Queue twilight zone music. Have you ever seen Agro and Carazzo in the same room together? And come to think of it, they have similar hair styles, both love marinara and I know from a good source that Agro is pushing for an RS nomination.

Cazz - that sort of attitude is reflective of the culture of the place at the moment. I hope you are an isolated individual that thinks like that, but I and many others on here care about our club and are passionate about wanting to see and experience the ultimate success. We are a loooooong way from that. We have come from a long way back from 2002 (10 years ago) and have little to show for it. Three years in a row made finals, played in 4, won only 1!! We need people that can see and acknowledge when things aren't right and act on it - they may be doing so on the down low. I hope so. Where are the CEO or Prez writing to their members and explaining these performances are not acceptable? All we hear of are infighting between the coach, players, and employees of the club.

You're right of course Caz. At the end of the day it's just a game. Unfortunately in the last 40 years it has become a multi million dollar business. The club requests people to invest. They are not delivering on that investment. Therefore the shareholders have a right to demand answers/accountability.

It stopped being a pure game before I was born.

Indeed.

People in dire straits often take solace in their footy (or other) club, and use it as an escape from the harsh reality of their "real" life. Don't underestimate the role sport plays in this regard.
