Keep backline same as last round: Jamo only just finding fitness and form; ditto Duigan & JR.
Northern have bye this week so selection may also be about who you want to get work into rather than rest.
Warnock maybe therefore, with or without the incumbents.
McLean ok v Ess and this would be a good chance for him to find the pace of the game at a (slightly) higher level.
Don't rest Judd and Murphy from the same game.
Ellard a good option and I'm not averse to giving one of the "kids" a try out.
Give Lucas a full game.
Gibbs on ball.

Absolutely.

This is a game we should win by 100+ points, and percentage is likely to be vital at the end of the season. I understand that giving certain players a rest is wise for potential future wins, but wholesale changes have the potential to destabilise the team, which is a significant negative for future rounds.

We had five changes last week, so only a couple this week should be necessary.

don't mess with the team - this team needs to get their shit together and start playing for 4 qtrs.

if the 'stars' need a rest, give them extra rotations and the 2nd tier players more time on the ground.

we'll still pump them, watched them at MO yesterday, they have some VERY good kids, but that is what they are, KIDS. Plus the doggies were rubbish against them.

wonder if Sainty will be up, Jamo to him, Hendo to Cameron (who is built like an elastic band, but is going to be a very very good player)

will be at the game, down in Melb for work, so I thought that I'd pop in to watch.

I'm rapt with our 4-1 record but the last couple of weeks shows we still have plenty of room for improvement.

With having 5 changes already last week and our injuries, I believe it is flirting with danger to tinker with the line up too much more.

Happy to rest say a couple of players who need it or have some niggles but wholesale changes are not the go imho.

Treat them with respect, get a comfortable big lead early and then manage TOG and smart use of the sub thereafter. Especially noting we have a 9 day break leading into the game and an 8 day break the game after.

After all, some of our boys need the match time and need to work into some form.

No way would I bring back McLean............ ever.

Look, he'll go back to Northern and no doubt get a few more BOG's but he's proven time and time again that he is just NOT up to AFL standard.
In that Essendon* game, he was at least 2 or 3 mtrs behind his man for most of the day. Then he kicks a goal (that was pretty much given to him) and at the end of the day, we look at his stats and see 18 possesions and a goal and think "Oh, Brock did OK"...........

I've never been a Brock fan, and I don't wish to sound harsh towards him but he's just not an AFL player. Does well at VFL, but just doesn't have the endurance, speed or quick-thinking mind to play at the highest level.

I would consider bringing in Warnock this weekend though. GWS have a good young ruckman so it might be good to see Warnock tested. And plus, I wanna see Hammo, Kreuzer and 206 in the same side............. i reckon it could work.

The only players I'd consider resting would be Kruz & Judd, we aren't Geelong & haven'y banked 3 flags away to rest too many players. 100 points plus should be the aim, we only get to play these guys & GCS once whereas teams like the Roos & Crows get a crack twice.

Go Blues!

Percentage a must!
Going to be more important than last year with extra teams like Sydney sniffing around top 4.

I'd go with that... possibly sub Murphy at 3 qtr time

Warnock for Kruezer & Ellard/McLean for Judd... maybe give Jamo a rest (just doesn't look right atm) for Bower?

Given the five changes for last Friday I think two changes would be optimal:

Warnock for Kreuzer
Ellard for Judd

As other posters have said we need to make the most of these games to push up our percentage

I am against resting players for the sake of resting, it smacks of arrogance and disrespect.
I would only leave out players who need the rest and play everyone else who is fit to play, if we start to flirt with form and structures it could have the opposite effect and unsettle the whole side, play each team as they come up and only make changes if necessary.

Wouldnt mind trying out another tall forward option, so this may be a perfect chance to try out Big Sammy Rowe up forward, and give Mr WAG Nation himself Jarrod Waite a bit a rest...

Well Judd is still missing his arm from Friday night, so rest him so that he can find it.

Anyone else, I will leave up to the club to make a decision based on how many kms they have run and or any niggles.

Reckon little Murph's sparkling early season form has earned him a bit of a rest as well, but am a bit hessitant to go into the game without both Judd and Murph...

We can't afford to flirt with form with certain players. That's why Waite and Jamo need to play.

I would rest Judd, Scotland, Kreuzer and keep Yarran out for another week.

In: Ellard, Warnock and Collins (sub). Lucas can play a full game.

I can't see the value of giving McLean a game against GWS.

I think he was unlucky with his timing after the Essendon* game - if we hadn't been playing at subiaco I think he would have kept his spot.

Not sure him playing well against GWS would prove anything.

Totally agree - which is why I believe we should give Rohan Kerr his chance as we really need to see how he performs in senior company.

Rest one or two but we should treat this game like any other. If we look at it as an easy week we may end up with egg on our faces. I also don't trust any team with Kevin Sheedy at the helm, dirty flower.

I do like the idea of giving Kerr a go. The popular opinion seems to be that he would be a guy who'd thrive more with the pace of AFL, so why not this week?
