If it is get some of the Carlton arrogance back starting with the coach's.
Erm, we had bags and bags of arrogance last week, as I see it. That's probably why we lost.
We need humility and respect. With that we won't lose sight of the hard work required to win the games that should we should win. We won't underestimate our opponents. We won't expose ourselves to be so easily dismantled by our opponents. And we won't ever forget the lows from which we have come.
Camelboy I agree but within the context of this arrogant attitute I include taking responsibility and leadership.
An arrogant leader is one that has earnt from his leadership qualities including taking responsibility in making decisions under pressure and not delegating or been stripped of that right in the important part of the week.
Ratten is the head coach if he cannot make match day decisions I don't see the point of acting arrogant if you haven't got the authority to deliver.
If this is the case as mentioned before I don't see an authoritive figure just a mantlepiece and a weak link.
If the coach of a sporting team cannot have the final say in any final decision within the team structure or strategy then they will look weak and there will be no respect coming from within or outside that organization.
Strong clubs are built around strong leaders.
If a leader is reflected as a soft target with no power or authority then so is his team, and will be treated as such.
If this is truly the case then I am very disappointed because I thought Ratte was coming along nicely.
