Duigan is the more interesting out. You would think that if he pulled up ok he would be playing considering the little game time he has had.

Maybe I'm missing sarcasm somewhere but harsh on Marcus there, Jim. Has tried his heart out all preseason games he's played and did well rebounding the past couple of weeks. It'll click soon and we'll have a very solid medium defender at our disposal.

With the restricted squad sizes this week it makes it difficult if he's borderline fit. There'll be a Northern Blues intraclub game on this weekend where he hopefully plays and shines (along with a few other names), before following up with a half in the VFL prior to round 1.

Call the club to check, but the I think the NB intraclub is on Saturday at Visy.

I'm sorry, but Bower has to play, we have to know where we stand with him in a serious game leading into Rd 1. From NAB reports, appears he's done enough to go around in this game at least.

JR would want to fire up or a Rd 1 gig for him is at risk. Just think he needs solid footy if he's to regain confidence and touch. AJ stiff to miss, I think it's out of these two for a final spot in this team.

Davies is no good, but Frazer Dale could be better than Fyfe.

I also think Gibbs will start fwd as, IIRC, he kicked 4 or 5 v Norf last time we played. Ideal replacement for Tex you'd think.

Could say a lot of things about Davies, but saying that he doesn't try would not be one of them.
He's actually a good player completely devoid of confidence and has been for some time.

The one thing that no one seems to know though, is what his contract status is.
Was he given one or two years last year?
