Bummer fans just can't come to grips with the fact that we now own them...

Just had a look over there and apparently we're all wogs. The scum can have their scum forum...

First things first; Blues supporters are officially the biggest scum in the comp. Even Pies supporters can at least show respect for opposition supporters. The gloating and sledging I copped today from random woggo flower was just disgraceful.

And this is Carlton's great problem.

It has no good, young key position talls coming through and is relying on ageing hacks like Thorton and SANFL/VFL good bodied players like Laidler & Duigan to take KPs or key roles (Watson tried & found wanting multiple times. They would have to play out of their skin to be beat the best and we are nowhere near the best.

Their list mgmt looks screwed and their list unbalanced. They Kane Lucas instead of Talia/Carlisle and that decision may be the one that prevents them winning a flag. I'd expect them to go after a quality, KPP big time this off season.

They may have pantsed us today but we have young, quality KPPs (Hurley, Pears, Carlisle & Hooker when fit) and a young developing midfield (Zaka, Melksham, Colyer, Prismall, Hocking) led by Watson & Stanton neither of who is over 26.

Their window is now & next year whilst Judd is still at the top of his game.

:screwy:

Their best quarterback/tall defender is a 36 year old who played with Jobe Watson's Dad.

A shame they can't find a midfielder who can play a sacrificial negating role on Laidler and Yarran like Robinson has done to Fletcher twice. :smoking:

Ever since 2008 we have heard the same crap about how because KPP take longer to develop they will climb over the top of us. Thing is, kind of like a Jehovah's witness predicting the end of the world, its always about 2 years away. They used to talk about Courtney Johns, Neagle and Laycock who were going to tear us up.

Meanwhile, they still have a crap midfield.

Also why will Judd only be at his peak for one more year? The only guy I can think of who we may get less out of next year is Scotland, and thats purely a guess based on his age, not form.

Their so dumb to think their in better shape than us, their not younger, just not as good, which has been proven beyond doubt today.

A fair assumption.

I can totally understand banning people who are stirring up trouble. But I wasn't. Honest.

OK. So firstly.................

I'm not a one-eyed supporter at all. In fact, I actually really like James Hird, have a soft spot for Richmond and one of my favorite players to watch is Scott Pendlebury.

I understand that all teams, including ours, has supporters that are complete tools. You know the type.

However, when it comes to matches Vs. Carlton............... Essendon* supporters are just plain rude, arrogant, ignorant and dumb.

I have dozens of mates who follow Essendon* and each and everytime they get an opportunity to 'bag' me they do so with full gusto and leave nothing in reserve.
When rolls are reversed,........... they are literally nowhere to be seen. At least my Collingwood mates are man enough to take it.

There was a loud mouthed fool sitting two rows in front of me that was going so off-tap that people sitting 100mtrs away could hear him. Nobody was safe. Anybody that had anything to do with Carlton, players or supporters, were copping it from him.
I turned to my partner and said "If we start wining.......... watch this guy dissapear"

...................................And by halftime.................. he was gone!

This ^^^

I have a mad Collingwood mate and we give each other heaps but my Scum supporting friends get hyper-sensitive and/or over-aggressive when you say anything other than how brave they are.

Actually my Filth mate continually comments on how much I hate Essendon*. I explain it by saying the Maggies supporters can't help themselves (and you shouldn't harm dumb animals) and besides when it comes to important matches (like Grand Finals) the Magpies are our bitches. But the Scum supporters actually think they're better than us when is evidentially untrue.

I remember going to a work GF bbq in 99 and wearing some Carlton colours. The Bumbers supporter on staff snarled at me when I arrived and said "what are you wearing that for, you don't even deserve to be playing."

I hope she remembers that day... Suck it princess!

Too much common sense from this one
Quote:
Carlton bottomed out in 2002 but their 1st draft pick was 45. We had 2 x 1st round, 2 x 2nd round & of course Jobe as FS. Again the next year we had 2x 1st rounders & our second & 3rd round picks - Carlton had Walker then round 4 onwards. Its old ground but the idea that Carlton should be ahead purely for cyclical reasons sells them short & glosses over our issues & mistakes. Thats not doom & gloom, its perspective. We are currently behind them because they re-built better quicker & we have some catching up to do. We have a lot of potential which will hopefully see us pass them in the near future but I think its fair to say they have made better use of their potential to this point & developed more established players - not just their priority picks. Guys like Jamison, Garlett, Carrazzo, Joseph, Ellard & Curnow (was good before injuries) were all rookies & players like Simpson, Duigan & Betts were late or PSD picks. We have had too many misses in those years to have a side at the same pooint of development - not because they started sooner.

Again, this is old ground but I think its important to get a better idea of where we are actually at & why rather than delude ourselves that time is the only missing ingredient. As much as I & everyone else here hate the carnts, I think we can still be objective in our assesments.

I thought half our team were priority picks

This post was a response to a poster who reckons that because we bottomed out in 2002, and they bottomed out in 2006 that by now we should be 4 pre-seasons ahead of them. :garthp:

Cant read any of the rest as I'm not fluent in LOl!1!SUCKIT!cARLusucm...

Essendon*'s problem is they haven't bottomed out yet. Like North Melbourne they're destined to float around 7th-12th.

Richmond are at least smart enough to bottom out, they just end up shit again every 4 years.

I must be blind or completely missing something... but, don't the Bombers have plenty of Greek and/or Italian ("woggo", in case any BomberBlitz people are trolling and need a sensible English to complete fckwit dictionary) fans?
