I loved seeing Mil Hanna involved though.

It would have been more hitting if Mil spoke for 45 secs about what the club means to him.

I dunno...agree about how it was good to see him in there, but I think if you use up 45 secs in a vid like that, you'll lose your audience. Attention span of a gnat etc.

I liked the girl from Stuzzichino...how she lost her voice barracking. She looked so happy to be involved.

Many on here were complaining about previous campaigns, and asking for a simple "We Are Navy Blue" message....this was it.

I guess I don't like the 'We are Navy Blue' messages.

They Know we're Coming > I AM CARLTON

Having said that, I do like the fact there is a website behind this, an opportunity to invite friends and the personalised backgrounds etc.

I may not like the message but the concept is good

I am unoriginal ...

... but that's better than being novel but crap.

It's just a shame they piked after setting it up so perfectly for "I am 3 votes".

It'll probably sell a lot of t-shirts, but I dunno if it will sell a lot of memberships.
I suppose there's more to come?

I think it's a good idea to target the kids.

Can only talk as an iPhone user....downloaded the file, transferred to iPhoto, then when synching made sure that the photo got uploaded and chose the pic from the phone menu.

I guess it is similar for others, but just connecting the phone to the pc and uploading to your phone

I'm the same as you AGRO, and mine got accepted.

Maybe they don't like your "angry face".

Maybe due to the amazing response, there is a web glitch.

How about you both become proper Carlton members.

The slogan and the TV ad are really small potatoes.

The bit I am excited about is the upcoming upgrade of the membership website.

Have a look at all the clubs that had the highest membership numbers over the last couple of years and they had the best membership websites.

Making the actual process of purchasing a membership a pleasure rather than a pain does wonders.

We have had fairly good memberships despite our membership website. We are are a membership powerhouse with as yet unrealised potential.

You watch, primarily because of the new membership website we will have over 50,000 members next year.

Now dont get me flowering started - AFL Members with Club Support Packages are PROPER members - our money goes straight to the club, we are entitled to vote at Club Elections.

Now do something constructive SOC - and create an "I AM JOHN BUTCHER" - wallpaper.

Would be nice if they could offer an alternative t-shirt for more lazy people, or perhaps those restricted by a 140 character limit.

"I'm Carlton"

I like it. It's trying to connect on a more deeply emotional level than the previous efforts. From the comments by Sticks and Swann it seems they are using the excitement of finals as the springboard for a campaign running into next year (at least).

If that is the case then I think it would be safe to say this isn't the only vehicle and it will become a little more integrated/holistic.

Good work Blues.

Great post. Geez I love this thread. So much so that I unfoed a verbs post for the first time in donkeys (wish I hadn't but).

Geez, it wasn't that good.

So I guess you just summed up the effectiveness of social media for me.

Precise.

Right there in the 90,000 fans are possibly 45,000 of the unconverted.

Keep digging your hole deeper.

They're not all members, but they are obviously mostly all fans which is why the relationship between them and the club needs to be built up.[/quote]
