This may sound like a weird questions Eddie, but what browser where you using. Was it Google Chrome.

I too got timed out after I'd entered bar codes and credit card info. I copied and pasted it all from a doc so it only took me about 2-3 mins when you are supposed to get 8.

My brother meanwhile got thru and got tickets but I went back to do a bit of experimenting.

I found that as soon as i entered the tiketek page the time clock started straight away, before I did anything else. Once clicking the ALF link and then the relevant game etc the clock was still ticking. Even if you get the "website has heavy traffic, will re-try in 5 seconds" page when it finally got through the clock had been ticking all along. This meant that by the time you got into the actual tickets allocated page after entering bar codes, but before credit card info, the clock may have been down to 2 minutes, or less, depending how long it took to get there.

The clock should start as soon as you see the seats offered but it starts much earlier and if you have trouble getting through, you may eventually get through with not enough time left to complete the transaction. this also happened to me last year, where i got timed out after about 2 minutes on the page once i saw the tickets offered.

i'm interested if anyone else has had a similar experience and what browser they were using. I'm not sure if the browser is relevant (as it seems bizzare that it would be) but I have a feeling that it may refresh in a different way.

Same thing happened to me

heard a bloke ring SEN this arvo and said he went to a ticketek outlet (not sure which one) but he was alotted number 35 in queue and was still not served by midday so he walked out and will try tomorrow! :hitcomputer:
I understand that some people don't have internet access and some people prefer to choose seats rather than accept whats alotted to them, but the advantages of booking online are far greater. I got seats in M12, and was done by 9.10 using the iphone, so simple and effective

Agree with all that Diesel, booking online is far more advantageous. I walked out of the line after half an hour. If 35 wasn't served by midday I imagine my number would have been well after lunch. I just don't like to risk it though. That and technology often has a habit of packing up on me at the most inconvenient times.

Will be rocking up to ticketek in the early hours of the morning to make sure I get a very low number, then piss off home to bed, and come back near on 9. Will be a fair wait but worth it.

Question -

One of my mates would love to come but he's a bit strapped for cash lately (his mother went round the twist and its cost him dearly...long story short), so every cent counts for him at the moment. He was turned off at having to pay $40 for a concession AFL members guest pass, so I thought that I'd buy a junior guest pass for $15, and he pays the $25 difference at the gate.

I feel guilty for not shouting him the whole thing, but I've had my own financial strain lately...

Are you able to pay the difference on a ticket at a ticket box on matchday????

No.

Fair enough, thanks mate.

Just tell him to try walk in, if they pull him up, just say his kid (or brother) has his ticket, and they should let him on through.

unfortunately that may not work

i was with my 13 yr old kid and i gave her the membership ticket to scan in and thru she went with her adult sister and then i went to get some food outside and then scanned mine and they pulled me up. i said whats the prob, they said why have i got a kids ticket. only then i realised what i had happened i explained to them what i had done and after a 3 way meeting they decided they would let me in but needed to see my ticket so one of them came with me to our seats and i got the ticket off the kid and they were satisfied, i mean common sense doesnt always work with some people, i was stupid what i did but i mean sheesh why as an adult would i have a junior membership of my own .

Just back from Ticketek. Got 2 tickets in Q25. One prick in the queue took himself a good 10 minutes to get himself organised.

Happy with the tickets but will swap with anyone for anything below the Q level. PM me if interested. Cheers

All done as well and no problems at all with the Ticketek Mobi site.

Wanted level 4 so got exactly what I wanted on the wing Q17 row C. Will be undercover incase it decides to rain too.

Booked online at 9 on the dot this morning. 6 tickets in M27 under cover. Not the best (I love my M17-M20 bays), but far from the worst.

Go Blues

I was using Google chrome, but apparently lots of people got timed out yesterday. I dont think the system coped too well. Listening to talkback radio this morning and apparently lots of AFL members have missed out on tickets as they were allowing members to purchase 4 guest passes. you would think they could get it right by now.

Anyone thinking about heading over to Perth (assuming WCE get done...) if we beat Essendon*?

Can imagine the ticketing for that one will be a balls-up.

If it were anywhere but Perth I would go. Just too expensive to get there and back, and getting a ticket at Subiaco will be difficult.

Plus if you lose it will make you get more angry at the cost.

It should be live into Melbourne though so just relax at home.

Oh that's right.. one week at a time!

I hate Ticketek and their poxy website.

Finally got logged in, wouldnt let me get tickets on Level N or P so finally decided on M (row E) and was timed out just as I was finalising it. Ended up in Q16 Row Z.

Awesome!

Whilst were over for the weekend also taking the lad to the dome for the first time Sat. Night and got L3, 12, Row J.

Not to many bad seats at the dome but curious does the '12' stand for aisle 12? If so I think we've done OK.

I know I'll find out soon enough but good to prepare for the worst if need be!

Is row z back row or is there a row aa, bb,cc etc after it? Curious as we're row x.
