Just shows that we are just a old fashioned ordinary side with plenty of holes left to fill if we are going to win the Premiership in 2012 or 2013.

..we've beaten top 4 sides in every year that ratts has coached [this season still yet to finish], let alone top 8 sides.. ..admittedly not so well this year, but i hardly think we can say he's gone backwards this year.. ..unless that's what you're implying..?.. ..we've also broken every 'hoodoo' from the dark years save one; beating hawks..

That's three times on one page you've said that.
Plus several times on other threads.

If it were relevant what happened before this year it would be worth mentioning once.
Four points are four points. You get them when you win, you don't get them when you lose. ATM we are in 4th spot on the ladder. Whom you play is of no consequence to the mathematics of it all. Part of the reason we haven't beaten any teams in the top eight is because we and others beat them so they can't get into the top eight. If everybody beat teams in the top eight, they'd be in the bottom eight.

ATM we're in the top four. You should be pleased. It beats the hell out of where we've been for the past five or six years. Well it does as far as I'm concerned but I've only been supporting them for fifty something years. Through two lean periods and the golden era. You get to take the bad with the good over that period of time as others here will agree. Take the good while you can because as sure as night follows day, it won't last and then you'll REALLY have something to be unhappy about.

Well I am talking this and last year

So it is very relevant mate

We have beaten one top eight team all year - Swans

Your rationale that we beat teams and therefore they are not top Eight is laughable

We're not the only team out there. Cats, Pies, West Coast, Bombers are all decent teams, hence they are in the Eight as they have won more than they have lost, but we cannot beat these teams

Get it??

Look I'm not saying it is all Ratten's fault, maybe Roos was right when he said early in year we erred at recruitment off season as we didn't recruit to fill holes in list (ie: height down back and fwd) for the NOW, ie: we didn't get any experienced height. A Gibson or Tarrant would be handy now wouldn't it??

But hey, let the TC CFC propaganda machine take over and gloss over these facts

You very cleverly left out something I said to try and prove your point. That's just dishonest.

Couldnt care less whether people think we are "flat track bullies" or not. 4 points is 4 points.

Look at Man Utd for example..Every year we lose games to either Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea ( last year all 3), but in the end Sir Alex usually comes out on top. It is Man Utd's ability to perform against everyside consistently that has won him the titles. While the other contenders (and i use the term loosely when referring to Liverpool), will continually drop points to the lesser sides, Utd keep on keeping on.

When there is a crunch game though (ie Chelsea game that decided the title) his team generally wins.

My point is, as long as we beat these teams in the finals, who cares if people regard us as Flat track bullies

Haters gonna hate..

Who are these teams you're talking about. OK, Chelsea I know - Leigh Matthews played for them. But the others?????
