Yarran Jamison Russell
Laidler Waite Duigan
Scotland McLean Simpson
Ellard Thornton Murphy
Betts Walker Garlett
Warnock Judd Curnow
Joesph Gibbs Robinson
Carazzo

Out: Hampson, White
In: McLean, Thornton (worst ins ever)

Rotate Thornton and Waite (just need someone to pluck the occasional mark, and bring ball to ground)
I think Murphy is at his best as an attacking midfielder
I like Ellard having shots too.
Gibbs to play on Goodes.

Sorry Dane, that won't happen.

Waite IS the forwardline until the kids in the magoos come in.

The MC resisted the temptation to throw Waite down back against the Crows, even though it must have been very very tempting.

Ratts did not include Thornton in his list of possibles from the Ants to come up.
He maybe'd Armfield..said O'h had only had 2 games back...can't remember ..oh yeah..said Brock was in contention.

Who is gonna play on Jude Bolton?
He is having a super year.
Hope they are thinking about that. :yikes:

He's been getting a few tagging roles, they might get him to run with Judd or Murph.

I think the biggest factor against us is recovery time.

Sydney have had 13 days off, we've had 6. It helps that it is a smaller ground, but the guys were running on the spot at the end of the Adelaide game. Two tough games in a row against a buoyant and fresh Sydney outfit. It worries me.

Gibbs needs a rocket, but he won't be dropped. Carrazzo shouldn't be dropped he was okay against Adelaide. He's not our best but he doesn't deserve to be sent to the VFL.

Win this and Carlton get separated from the pack and get a 9 day break against a rudderless St Kilda outfit. Huge opportunity to go into the bye at 5-1-1 ahead of a troublesome encounter against the Cats before winnable games against Melbourne, Port Adelaide and Brisbane.

Win this, and Top 4 almost becomes ours to lose.

A point of note, don't you find it bizarre that we play Sydney NOW and then again just 7 rounds later?

McVeigh tends to go to Judd and they generally have a good crack at each other in their contests (not whacking each other, but a genuine red hot go), so if Bolton was to tag it may be Murph this time

Yeah, a hamstring bad enough to have you subbed-off isn't going to see you playing 6 days later. Given how chronic these things can be, a couple of weeks off is probably the safe option.

Pity.

Brock in for an unlucky joseph (Robinson to sub)
Armfield or Lucas in for Yarran (HBF)

I sense from Ratts interview that the ideal situation for Sydney is one change. However, given the need to replace Yarran's run, can see us making the two changes.

Can't see Joseph getting dropped. He was picked ahead of Army/Brock/Lucas, and did pretty well when he came on. He is also quick.
I wouldn't rick Yarran on a 6 day break, one of those 3 to come in for him.

It's best to play someone who we'd not pencil a win in against given the above trend so meeting the Cats is a good thing

The lions were coming off a bye as well. The doggies were the only team that had a bye last week that played a team that did not have bye. Melbourne, West Coast and Sydney had the bye last week, Melbourne and West Coast play one another so we are the team that can keep the trend going.

If Brock comes in, watch him get slaughtered in the middle for clearances and shit disposal when he does get it!
Senior footy is well past him and another example of bad recruiting.
