We need to do something about the opposition small forwards - no Arma or AJ down back and we let that cretin Blair have a picnic, dont want Jetta, Monfries etc doing the same

..lotta early/silly calls on the Gibblet.. ..was obviously playing a role friday night, i thought he contained and even came out a little in front of Pendles for his time on him, kicked a pressure leader's goal, and did well for his first two weeks when allowed to play his own game.. ..very valuable to us as an assist player, too valuable to keep across hbf.. ..2 very good games in the center, and another solid game just now.. ..don't see why there's any talk of repositioning him..

..not sure if Bower is ready yet to be honest.. ....he's not the sort of player that i have confidence in being able to take on the modern press.. ..he still makes those slow, floating loopy handballs that sacrifice team-mates.. ..he runs ahead blindly, and often into trouble and hurries his disposals because of this.. ..and his long kicks can also tend towards the high ball.. ..i think he's going to need ti improve cos he's no longer an auto lock for the back six going forward for our team.. ..he's not ready yet to come into the team vs the bummers.. ..they'll play high pressure intensity, and it'll be even fast for an AFL standard game.. ..too much of a step up from vfl [which he hasnt burnt up/got much experience in this season]..

..unless otherwise unfit, Army needs to definitely come in.. ..he's an excellent straight running line breaker.. ..his kicking has improved, he's fit enough to sprint both ways all day.. ..tackles ferociously, and is a disciplined tight marking defender..

Not saying gibbs is playing badly just that we think he is more value to the team as a halfbacker where he can find space to use his kicking and decision making. I see it as a step up for him from the scrapping role he has been playing. I am sure we can find a player to slam the ball on their boot in the packs to get the ball moving forward. Ellard can do it.
We are still struggling with loose ball in the back half and Gibbs will sure that up also. He will open up the backline for Yaz and Russ. We will have far more rebound.

In my opinion we will be a 3 goal better team with him delivering inside 50' off halfback.

Alwyn Davey shouldn't be playing after he used his armguard to split Montagna's face open.

Sheedy sniping scum.

That looked more like some sort of finger injury than wrist. Hopefully nothing to serious

who gives a shit about the media ?!?!

even the brownlow is decided by umpires who everyone whinges about every week - then feel the need to place so much stock in an award they decide - bit retarded really

i said i reckon the coach gave him votes - because he played the role the coach wanted him too - which means calling for him to be dropped is completely idiotic

It was reported on radio JR injured his finger during the game. How bad?

I'm tipping we'll get flogged this week. The Saints may be ordinary, but they are great at getting the Bombers up and running.

I see confidence and belief in Essendon*, still the doubt at Carlton, although we showed improvement against the Pies.

Massive test for the MC and Ratts match day coaching. This can take a lot of pressure off his shoulders by beating the glamour, and now premiership challengers in Essendon*. Yes that's what I heard on Foxtel or radio Premiership challengers.

That said he came 9th in the Brownlow in 2009 with 15 votes.

I'm o/s currently and trying to get my head around things via TC and can I just add, you guys are doing my head. I cannot believe the different opinions on the same game. It really highlights that you need to see the game with your own eyes.

Having said that, this game has become huge for us now and it's exactly what I thought would happen. Henderson & bower are must in for mine and we really do need a back pocket. Not good enough letting 5 goals kicked like that. Too me Airfield or Joseph are a must.

Gibbs
Carrazzo

Anyone else?

We're better off when Gibbs has the ball in his hand forward of the center. With Yaz, and Bower coming back in, Gibbs is wasted in the backline.
