Just saw today's Hun at the coffee shop, and I noticed with no surprise and much disgust that the Hurley story is tiny, buried on page 11 with no picture, and the list of every discretion every committed by an Essendon* player mysteriously missing.

This article is so small I doubt the "Carlton Story Translator 2.0" would be able to analyse it.

I also notice that the online story was never featured in the sports section and was buried in the news section where it is now history.

And its also good to hear that Mark Robinson is still more interested in Carlton's Christmas party. It says really everything you need to know about him and the gossip mag he works for.

There are no words that are permitted on this website that accurately descibe my opinion of those that work at the Hun, so I will quote Conan O'Brien, Hun esta manejado por hijos de cabras imbeciles, which I think means they are all brainless sons of goats.

Just proves that Robinson is a guttless coward like his mate Hurley

Not to mention the fact that on that page was a massive story about a cute kitty cat, just to draw people's attention.

Strange how the Damien Barret's Story DATED JANUARY 4th - about the AFL's please explain letter (which was 2 week old news when Barret went with the story  ) is still on the Herald-Sun's front page of its On-line Super Footy Section.

The Michael Hurley cab driver bashing story is no where to be seen.

I know this is the Age but I think they may have developed the technology from the Sun.

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/p ... -n4ec.html

This article is about Lloyd and others, including that animal Balme getting life membership. (No mention of the fact Balme king hit Southby from behind and Richmond won the 73GF as a result by the way).

Scroll down to the second-last paragraph, read it and ask yourself how they managed to include that in the article.

Maybe I'm getting paranoid but I can't help thinking they press is against us and that just maybe it's time the president banned a few reporters from the clubrooms for a while until they smarten up. I don't care if our off-field discretions get reported. We deserved it but this is going a bit far IMO. :fight:

I know what you mean, but I think it's a web thing, Sombrero. The question mark at the start of the second last para is probably supposed to be a bullet point, or something else. Other stories have also had some marker which then has a totally unrelated bit of info attached after it.

My question would be more why is that knob Lloyd being given life membership to the AFL so immediately after his retirement? "300 matches including pre-season and representative". Talk about lowering the bar. Next they'll include intra-clubs as a criterion.

Carlton Translation
Rockefeller worked with the former Carlton president Richard Pratt's Visy group which was charged for pricefixing by the ACCC in 2008. It is not known whether Rockefeller was involved with pricefixing however it can be confirmed that he was not associated with the salary cap breaches for which Carlton was charged late in 2002 after winning the wooden spoon.

"...Rockerfeller had previously denied any association with the Blues Booze Cruise, which led to the Club suspending Eddie Betts, Ryan Houlihan and Andrew Walker. He wasn't present at the Brownlow medal presentation, where Carlton Coleman Medallist Bredan Fevola was involved in some ugly drunken incidents, which led to his hurried trade at the end of the 2009 season."

You would think if Gary Ablett has been waiting 13 years for entry to AFL Hall of Fame - then if you got suspended for a low dog of an act in your last game of football (like Llloyd) it would delay your AFL Life Membership by a year at least.

BREAKING NEWS GEELONG AFL premiership footballer Matthew Stokes is expected to appear in Geelong Magistrates' Court this afternoon on drugs charges. Stokes played at Woodville West Torrens before getting drafted which is where Scott Camporeale was drafted from and therefore that ties in the Carlton football club.

GEELONG premiership player Mathew Stokes is being questioned over drug offences.

Stokes was linked to Carlton earlier in the off-season as part of a mooted trade for Brendan Fevola that fell over at the 11th hour. Fevola was subsequently traded to the Lions, following allegations of sexual assault at last year’s Brownlow Medal count. Neither Fevola or Stokes were believed to have been present on the Blues infamous Xmas Booze Cruise, that resulted in a heated near-naked clash between teammates Ryan Houlihan and Andrew Walker, and the subsequent arrest of Eddie Betts, resulting in club-imposed suspensions for all 3 players.

Stokes will face court later today.

Matthew Stokes, premiership player is to face court on drug trafficking charges.
Stokes plays for Geelong, the same navy blue and white colours worn by Carlton who suspended 3 players for drunken behavoir on a river cruise prior to Christmas.

Stokes once played against Carlton who have HUGE substance abuse issues and were recently issued with a please explain by the AFL Commission. It is not known if the person alledged to have sold the cocaine to Stokes was any of the suspended Carlton trio, Betts, Houlihan or Walker.
