Have to disagree. It looked bad but it never looked to me like he was attempting to gouge the eyes, his hand was in the wrong position and shape to be going for the eyes.

The great "Carlton man" - Ron Baressi - was on the radio and demanded Judd be charged with bringing the game into disrepute..... :banghead: thanks Ron you have always been such a great support

SEN is running a "campaign" by inferring Judd tried to kill the guy. Brought on a marshall arts master who stated that certain masters of Kung-fu can in extrem cases kill you with pressure points. SEN has used this clip all day and inferred that what Judd did was extremely dangerous....

Surely I'm not the only one here who first learned about pressure points from other kids at primary school and tried them out on friends.

Apparently we're lucky we didn't kill each other :garthp:

They didn't need to. Juddy made it easy for them by using his defence in advance. He should have let them charge him with eye gouging, then used the pressure point explanation.

The wording of the charge was changed. Unreasonable or unneccessary contact to the face is now the wording, comes under the misconduct charge.
If hadnt said what he did at the airport he may have got a lesser penalty, it was deemed as intentional because he admitted to it and this added more points. For such an intelligent man it is very suprising he did it in the first place and then went on to make it worse by speaking about it.

not for the first time, the penalty does not fit the crime, IMO

..it was very stupid, what he did, and how he tried to reason/justify/explain what he did.. ..and a reprimand isn't enough for 'attempted' eye gouging.. ..otherwise, what else was he trying to do with shitelli's face..?.. ..pressure point stuff has got to be garbagio.. ..and yes, he has tarnished his reputation, and ppl saying he hasn't aren't being honest with themselves.. ..he's gouged brown, and it 'looks' like he was trying to gouge shitelli.. ..if he wasn't, what on earth was he trying to do..??!!.. ..he;s done it once before, and it looked like he was trying to do it again.. ..ppl might have forgotton about the brown incident a couple of years ago, but Juddles just went and reminded them.. ..and they won't forget so quickly a second time around..

..do you honestly believe a reprimand is enough for what he 'attempted' to do..?.. ..do you think Lynchy only deserved a reprimand for all those haymakers that missed wakes..?.. ..pure and simple, both were attempts to hurt.. ..and a reprimand isn't enough for intent.. ..if Juddles said in the heat of the moment, he slipped, got bumped etc etc then he could argue any contact was purely accidental..and then maybe a reprimand would suffice.. ..but the numbskull declared to all and sundry he intentionally attempted to do something dodgey.. ..and for that, he's got to cop it..
