Lol this thread is ridiculous! Sure we were smashed but we played a shit game that in no way reflects where we are at the moment. Every team play shit games, even the best. Does anyone remember Geelong losing to Collingwood by 80 points?
I haven't seen the game nor do I want to, but what I wanna see is how we follow up next week.
We haven't been in great form but I think we are definately improving. The calls for Armfield and Brownes head is an absolute joke! These guys have played what? 30 games? If that???
Armfield has the balls to take the game on and the speed and his ball using skills are on their way.Give him some flower time.
Our season is far from over. A couple of wins and we are right back in amongst the top couple of teams. I think we will make the finals, and it will be an awesome build up for the next few years when we will become a powerhouse of the competition.
We are not far off. Don't jump off the bandwagon because of one off week. It will happen again, it is how we learn from our mistakes and improve upon it that will continue the development of these great group of kids that are wearing the Carlton jumper at the moment.
Go the Blues, lets prepare to stick it up to the Eagles next week!
No, it's not a joke it's emotion, some of it based on reality if very clumsily put and slightly misplaced. There is only so much faith you can have before it becomes too late. Of course these players will continue to have their chances between now and the end of the season, if only because we don't have much choice.
These players, just like everyone, will be a assessed at the end of the season. Some will even remain on the list. However, if they are found wanting and still given a 'pass' mark with 'no accountability necessary' (from player and/or recruiter) then something is wrong.
Each case is different but we must keep learning and improving, there is only so much you can put down to development and time. Let's hope we have still more quality on our list to keep everyone honest.
