Its hard to judge a game like yesterdays.

It was played on our terms and with no pressure. Its hard to judge performances against the doggies as you know its always going to be a shoot out rather than a tight contested style of game. Kinda reminded me of the win against the tigers in round 1

I have to admit i been pretty skeptical in regards to the quality of our second tier players but i have to admit.......... wait for it......... i may have been wrong and that IM EXCITED to think the likes of Walker and seasoned bodied Garlett, Yarran and Robbo are to come into the side in the next year or so and will add even more that some we currently have

Interesting point. Simmo has been down.

I wasn't at the game and as you'd know you don't get the same view from TV, could you explain what you thought was different about his game and why Scotland and Carrazzo allowed that?

Agreed we should beat all teams that allow us to play like that. Our game plan is at its peak when the opposition are not clogging up the middle and have defensive mindsets.

The question is do we adjust our game when we come up against the likes of the HAwks, Swans, Crows and the saints or do we do as Geelong ( a team ratts loves to watch and the style we are trying to emulate) have done and just get better at what we do so that even them teams cant stop us.

If we tackle hard, run hard and play on at all costs particularly in our backline we should be able to get through the flooded corridor before the opposition get time to set up. If we stop and prop and hesitate the oppostion will set their zone and we will be forced to try and go around. Then we are stuffed.

As we get bigger stronger and better drilled we will get better and better.

Go Blues.

I to was not at the game but did watch it when i got home.

What i noticed is that Simmo was freed up to be more of a hard running target on the rebound rather than working around and off half back. He was allowed to take the game on, attack and be damaging. I said last week that Simmo eeds to get on his bike and pedal harder than he ever has before like a Chance Bateman role

Scotto straightens us up. He makes the right decisions. Creates and Runs off half back.

Nice one bluey95, took my NRL mad loving army joe Brother who was down doing a sargents course, to watch us decimate the hawks in Nab cup. Its good to share a win with someone who doesnt understand.

havent posted for a while in these pros and cons threads, it was my only thing, sorry. I know your hurting...

Pros:
- The two boys above Adorning the top of the forum played very well keep it up.
- Aaron Joseph - Glad he came into the side and has cemented a spot, really earned it and can play, well done son
- Simmo - bout time :donk:
- Fev good or bad im glad he is on our team.
- Judd - words cannot describe the thanks everyone must give to his work ethic - MORE Blockers for him please.
- Murphy - Ive been silently more critical of murph over the years - BUT *eats hat* he has stepped up and playing supurbly excellent, and is almost as tough as Judd in the stopages (but he has always been like that I thought just his kicking was making me sad)
- Stevens much better hard at it game - piss weak against Essendon* guess that was due to positions.
- Scotty was good
- Carlos looks every bit like a player now
- 3.85 quarter football
- still a long year to go
- Doggies controlled the corridor well at times zoning but the Blues plan was executed well and freed up space

Cons:
- Having to give condolences to the greatest man know to Carlton today - Thank you Mr Pratt

- I dont mind the bounce, but for the sake of a free flowing game and a fair contest at the football in this situation, ditch the bounce and just throw it in the air. screw this wasting time recalling it all the time.
- Thought the doggies would show more, and heat up the place, was frickin freezing
- Cheering when Johnson hit a target. Give him a break, he can kick and all that, but when has he ever had to play consistantly in front of just about 50k+ crowds. he will adjust. Hope his injury isnt too bad, Havent checked Carazzo disp efficency yet, bet it was high as i dont recall him missing once, thats something to cheer about
