Than who? Spoonboy? In 4 years he's taken us from last to last, let me sleep on it and I'll see if I can think of anyone who could do better.

I had to move a painting further up the wall the other day, but I left two huge holes in the plasterboard. I went into the shed and pulled out some selleys putty - you know that white stuff to fill cracks and holes - and smeared this stuff over & over again to cover the former holes.

I was going to cover some more gaps but couldn't find the stuff later on.

Looks like I must have left it down at the Club.

No new news with the board and Denis but

1 He speaks the truth to KB he sleeps on it realises what he has done says @#$%&! and speaks to the moron glory the next day to cover the arse.

Bottom line is that the end is nigh for all of them . You cant have this going on for the club to run properly.

Good first post clues. Welcome to TC. The only point I disagree with you is with sticks. Great players dont necessarly make great administraters

Why is it with this club that every day you wake up it feels like its Groundhog Day?

Re Sticks, just let me clarify something. Not for a minute am I saying that he adds much to the board, other than providing feedback as to what the player group may be thinking at a particular time (can serve some purpose). The "perception" amongst the majority of members is that, rightly or wrongly, if Sticks was a great player, he must know lots about running a footy club. I'm sorry, but perception is reality to many out there. Most of us know better. Look around the AFL boards - most have at least one "token" board member. You will not change this culture overnight.

If a new ticket is to get up, having him in THAT ticket can get it over the line - thus having him involved is the classic "means to an end" - it at least ensures that maybe 90% of a new board will know what it's doing - better than what we're getting at the minute.

Now for the extraordinary AGM!

I have a few questions, any of you may answer, you know I think you people have great insight and are very astute football followers

1. Can you tell us what position we'd be in if Pagan wasn't coach? How much better would Fevola, Scotland, Stevens, Whitnall, Thornton, Walker, Simpson, OhAilpin be for example?

2. Which young players careers has Pagan destroyed? LIvingston? Sporn?

3. Russell's still only 19, if Pagan wasn't there would he be being talked about as the next Daniel Kerr?

4. Where would the improvement have come from that would have got us those 6 or 7 wins in 2005 and 2006 with another coach? or is Pagan that bad we probably would have won 12 or 13?

You must be gagging on your tongue.....
Ok I'll bite....I 'll give you Fev as a success story courtsey of Pagan although with present events I might want to review that comment.
Stevens?.....isnt the player he was at Port...has been made to play with injuries and lost interest.....no cigar on that one..

Scotland....more about opportunity playing at a weaker club, I also think Scotland has matured which is credit to him rather than Pagan.

Simpson and Setanta I will credit Barry Mitchell...you know the bloke who lives on the opposite side of the ground to Denis.....

Thornton and Russell wanted out so I dont see that as a glowing endorsement of the footy dept and Denis..

Russell the next Daniel Kerr.....nice kid is JR and I would luv to see him be the next Kerr but I think thats aiming a tad high at this stage...

AW has progressed nicely but i think DOA is the one you need to ask about Pagans hand in that development.....

Denis recycled when he should have rebuilt, we got a wizard cup and he got a contract extension...I like others agreed to him being re-signed so I wont be calling myself astute..he fooled me like a few others..

I'll give you a 2/10 for that effort, very weak.

You get 0/10 for the following ...try and be consistent and you might eventually get the credibility and attention you are craving...

The signing of Pagan was a bad move. As I have said right from the start, Wallace or Eade would have been as good in regard to discipline but furthermore have demonstrated they have superior game plans than the long kicking nonsense we are being forced to watch now.

The fact that the club has re-signed pagan shows they are bereft of ideas and are hoping like hell that he lifts the team back up the ladder. Problem is, he doesn't have the players, the recruiters aren't drafting readymade players of quality and best of all, his game plan stinks. He will be sacked at the end of 2006, mark my words.

Yeah nice one Elwood, what sort of response do you expect when you say stuff like Barry Mitchell is responsible for Ohailpin and Simpson playing well? I could counter argue and say those two would have been playing earlier if Barry Mitchell had done a better job developing them. Scotland is playing well because he has ‘matured’ and has nothing to do with DP? Stevens is in a midfield winning 18 games for the year and then you expect the same stats when he shifts to the wooden spoon side? DP has ruined him?

Elwood and the majority of those on TC, I understand where you are all coming from as frustrated supporters, while no one can question your love of Carlton, 99% of you really don’t understand the football environment and all you can come up with is this sheep like stuff like sacking the board and sacking the coach and that some how this will just magically lead to success. You lot have no perspective and are all in your little ‘circle’ where you can’t wait to logon and say ‘oh my god, even St Kilda have more members than us now, sack the board they are hopelessâ€

If you think that Payagain is the man to take us forward, I'd suggest you change your name to Carlton Altar Boy. and go and join the (sheep) media since they all show the same misguided compassion for that overpaid, underperforming, overcliched, undermined, over the hill and under the pump dinosaur who apparently masquerades as the senior coach of a once great footy club

Ty has ended up signing for Kangaroo Flat, in the BFL league, with his brother under coach John Rombotis.
