Earl Spalding kept a Diary of his Grand Final Week in 1995.

Enjoy the memories!

What a revelation Brad Pearce was in 1995.

His fast leading and sure hands gave Carlton a triple pronged forward line with Earl and Sticks.

As a tribute....this is the first pic in a special gallery.

Didn't Malcolm Blight wax lyrical in the commentary about Brad Pearce.

With Michael Mansfield the perfect escort - he escorted Brad to every contest - we should have known.

1995 the perfect season.

Don't worry about the 2 losses against St. Kilda and Sydney.

The boys had to finance their end of season trip somehow.

Yes mate....just looking at that "Most Improved Player" Award on the previous page that Pearce won...
interesting that Ang came 6th....Ratts 8th; and Matt Clape 9th....
...it was a great side.

The Essendon* pain in the arse I work with mentioned this to me once…thought he was bullshitting.

Maybe there's more substance to it than I thought.

Pity Pearce's knees were so ordinary. We could have done with him for a while longer. Another 50+ goal target on the forward line would probably have got us over the line in 1999 - 2001 somewhere.

While on 1995; I'll start a series on Premiership Team players of that year; the first one will be SOS.

Magnificent Final Series in 1995.

Total number of goals kicked by:

- Daryl White
- Wayne Carey
- Gary Ablett

on Stephen Silvagni during this series was one.

Thats right only 1 goal and it was kicked by Daryl White.

Carey and Ablett kicked, zif, nothing, nada, tipota (thats nothing in Greek -sorry do I get a Grade 9 penalty for posting in a foreign language  ).

Here we have Steve celebrating with fiancee, Jo; who is now his wife.

Outpointing Gary Ablett....again.

And a Family portrait with Mum and Dad; Rita and Serge Silvagni.

All day....Ablett was double teamed by SOS and Sexton and many others who just wanted the job done.

I began to look through this and thought 'how long has it been since glory days like this'? and then thought, hey, they were good days, and it was only 7 full seasons ago we played off in a Grand Final and only 5 years ago we were in a final. How long has it been for some clubs since they played in a grand final?

Richmond - 1982?
St Kilda - 1997?
Geelong - 1995?
Bulldogs - ?
Essendon* - 2000
Fremantle -
Kangaroos - 1999
