A few wins has made losing unacceptable. It's good to see Bolton trying to build that culture of success.

Simpson looked to be giving the team a bit of a stern talking to immediately after the game.

Weitering is already one of the best players in the team.

Yes I think any win after a six day break playing two down is a great result.

Nope. Matthew Richardson was 18 years and 72 days old in 1993.

Happy to have another win (particularly given we probably would've lost this one in other years), but I can't see Bolts being happy with how it ended. Had their foot on their throat and gave them a chance to breathe.

People far too harsh - clearly still tired from last weeks effort (especially Gibbs) and totasl loss of ruck contest in second half. Happy. Bring on the Saints.

Feel annoyed with how we played and we won by 38 points.... Feels like the old days.

Pretty ordinary game, we seemed 5% off, a few fumbles, a few loose kicks, but plenty of good signs

Impressive given who we had missing. Promising signs from Gorringe.

Great result from last wooden spooners - gotta be happy with 6 from the last 7.

Trust Kreuzer hasn't done a kidney

Ugly game, Brisbane were determined to make it a scrap. We backed up after a tough game six days ago, got out biggest winning margin for the year and we're now 6-5.

Biggest positive is getting more senior games into Weitering, Plowman, Byrne, Cripps, Lamb, Graham and Gorringe. Every game these guys get is a big investment in our future.

On Ballers were beaten convincingly. Gibbs, Thomas and Graham didn't really get near it and we missed Kreuzer and Murphy but probably missed them more than we should.

Small forwards Lamb, Armfield and Wright showed how good they can be when we get it in there quickly.

Back line had some pressure on them with the numbers Brisbane were trying to push forward with and they held up well. They're becoming a good unit.

We're a very good team at scoring from turnovers. Not so good at scores from clearances.

Nice to win and if someone said we'd be 6-5 half with a 38 pt win again Brisbane I'd be beyond excited. But now we are actually decent, and you have to say, with a 6-5 record, now a finals contender even if we're still not favoured, we were very sloppy after half time. That attitude won't help against a side like St.Kilda next week.

Anyway, past the negatives, what we have done to get us to 6-5 and some sort of a finals chance is nothing short of remarkable. Especially when we were shit at 0-4 and I was hoping we could win at least 1 game this season. Our season has taken off. Finals, at our stage, would be terrific but development at this stage is the priority. Finals would be simply a bonus on top of that.

Could this be interpreted as confidence?

Though it may have looked like we slacked off towards the end (and indeed we did) could it be they boys knew even if Brisbane came back, we'd have their measure?

We never looked like we were in trouble today, and I think the boys are starting to show some confidence in themselves and each other.

Just a theory ...
