Richmond's new era bears a striking resemblance to the last one.

Scotland, Betts & Carrazzo were very very good

Brock was a different player today.

Very nice start to 2010 against a very weak team.

It used to be that 91 Super Coach points was our top score - now it's our 12th - by a dude coming back from a knee reco.

Best team I've seen at Carlton in 10 years. Very happz - with more talent to come yet.

Regulation victory, we achieved what a finals prospect should've.

Was happy with our forward line structure and everyone played a role in the win.

Next week the season starts.

Listened to ABC radio, look forward to watching the replay in 17 mins!!

Very happy with a comfortable win. I won't lie, I was nervous as all hell. Even though it was Richmond.

Sounds like Carrazzo played really well. Great stuff

Awesome stuff, loved every second of it. Time for a lyric that I think sums up the past 5-6 months for the CFC, "Don't blame us if we ever doubt you
You know we couldn't live without you"... Well done blue boys!

Sat at Punt Road End - Level 2.

Cant be unhappy with that, we worked hard, skills were fairly good, and shared the load, glad we pulled away and it was 50 plus points.

Warnock was much better for the hit out, an early observation from me was he was just not solid enough at contests, but having said that, his decision making and match hardness will improve as games get into him, he has been out of the scene. We did drop off when Kreuze went out and Warnock went in early, but well done to Robbie, he will play a big role for us, and a couple of second efforts to smother were first class. Absolutely pleased to have him on the park for us.

Mclean, did what he was recruited to do, and did it with class.

Well done to Bower, Russell, Thornton etc down back, Kreuze (magical) in the ruck and around the ground, Murphy, Gibbs , Simmo and Carrazzo (superb).

What made me smile more than anything, Betts and Yarran - bloody fantastic.

Bad thing - I think it was Waite in a headlock and through a blind punch that connected a second player in the jaw - oops.

When we hesitated, they could have hurt us, they were not good enough.

Be happy blues fans, a pleasant start.

I haven't been nervous at all, maybe only because it's richmond, and i expected and predicted a 50-60 point win. So tonights result was about what i expected.

could have been better, could have been worse.

brock had 15 clearance and hopefully that puts everyone who doubted his ability in their place.

some key thoughts from the game.

second efforts - Betts and Yaz fantastic, plesantly surprised by henderson's second efforts. very very impressive for a big fella.

looks an awesome prospect.

simpson, carrots, and scotland - the generals of the team.

wish we could squeeze garlett into the forward line as there will be a lot of ball on the deck.

setanta is due for a BIG season at full forward. he'll get plenty of chances and will provide a honest contest. he's still in the contest at ground level which is the beauty of him.

2-3 goals a game and as many assists and there is 100 goals a season from setanta, directly or indirectly. It's going to be a rollercoaster watching him up forward and he'll need to work on kicking through the footy with every shot regardless of how far out he is. his toe poke kicks from set shots are inaccurate.

warnock showed promise.

kruezer is all heart and constently puts his body on the line and head over the footy.

due to the quality of the opposition (or lack thereof) it's hard to be TOO enthusthed by tonight.

we'll get a much better idea next week.

win 1 of the next 2 and we'll be in a reasonable position.

pretty happy with the evening but far from getting carried away.

Good performance against a very average opponent.

A few things that stood out for me.

Skills a lot better
lots of goal kicking options
Santy and Hendo put a lot of fwd pressure on
Jamison is EXTREMELY important to us
206 has got a massive Engine
Brock looks like he is gonna make Hadley's career almost extinct

JOE ANDERSON is a very average footballer and must make way next week

not well. it's hard to argue it wasn't reckless - unless they somehow can argue he was defending himself, due to the tiger up in his face.

carrazzo elbow didn't look good either but i dont know if it connected.

I watched (most of) the game live, but will watch it in full now cos I know the result

I'm usually a glass half-full kind of person, but I'm thinking this will be one of our 8 - 11 wins for 2010. Hope I'm proven wrong!

I think Carrazzo missed and he should be ok (although it was stupid).

Waite... I'm not sure.
If he gets a one week rest it won't be the worst thing in the world for him preparation-wise.
Just really vital for our chances against Brizzy... oh well
