From the Whitnall article:

Quote:
Whitnall's axing came after Sydney coach Paul Roos said Carlton's reward at trade week - Chris Judd and keeping the No. 1 draft pick - after losing its last 11 games of the season was the "ugly side of football we don't need".

@#$%&! you Roos, you just lost my respect.

Quote:
Nisbett said he would immediately seek to express concerns to AFL chief executive Andrew Demetriou and football operations manager Adrian Anderson that Judd's trade was a form of free agency because the 24-year-old was prepared to deal with only one club.

Nisbett revealed Richmond had been prepared to offer a package including its draft picks two and 18 to West Coast for Judd if it could have done a separate trade deal to win back another top-10 selection.

The Eagles would then have dealt with the Tigers to preserve the "integrity" of the system.

It is laughable logic. Judd himself was a priority selection for the WCE. People also forget that the rules changed last year and we missed out getting pick 3 in the strongest draft. At the end of the day, the rest of the competition want us to languish on the bottom forever and never want to see us make a return to the top. Well, sadly for them, they are going to be disappointed :P

Oh, and Trevor - when you're done acting like a child the real world would like to have a word with you. It seems you've soiled yourself.

Obviously this "reporter" knows her stuff.

Quote:
Going to Carlton who finished second last, the brilliant mid-fielder is assured of game every week. At Collingwood, his form would come under greater scrutiny.

Yes, I'm sure Judd is worried that O'Bree and Neon Leon will rob him of a midfield spot. Hell, he may not even make the Pies best 22!

Dumb mole.

What utter @#$%&! garbage!! The level of bitterness out there is ridiculous. The injury she is referring to was one that Michael Voss came back from after a few weeks! We should keep that article for prosperity. Agree with BV, "dumb mole"!

Nisbett seems to forget that Tyson Stenglein chose to go only to West Coast because he wanted to go back home.

Like Clarke Griswald says "I think they are all [REDACTED] in the head"

Nisbett also forgets that had Richmond not Tanked in their last game against St kilda, we would have had Picks 1 & 2 and pick 1 in the PSD.

FLOWER THEM ALL

Bunch of sooks all having a cry. We were dudded out of a priority pick last year, and dudded out of one in the original salary cap punishments.

Perhaps Trevor if you hadn't run a club which fostered a culture whose end result was seeing parents of kids born in WA tell their young ones to stay away, you wouldn't be in this situation. Your club is a circus and Judd had enough. Deal with the problem instead of crying publically about the consequences.

And as for Roos... pfft. He knows Sydney are on the slide and will quickly lose relevence. I would expect all manner of ridiculous statements from him in a desperate play to keep Sydney in the papers any way he can.

The hysteria is laughable... we're not even good yet!!!

Personally I thought this line was the kicker:

Quote:
Most fans reckon Pratt's billions have probably never been better spent. Judd has apparently signed a five-year contract for $6m.

I didn't realise Judd's pay packet was coming out of Dick's pocket. Thankyou for enlightening us.

No wonder John Elliot went bankrupt :garthp:

@#$%&! OFF NISBETT

So you think Carlton stiffed you over Judd?

You just got pick 3, a KPP taken at pick 4 two years ago, and pick 20. For one player... from a club that could easily have orchestrated getting that player in the PSD for nothing.

But you know what...?

THIS IS GREAT :-D

People are hating us again. Note the comlete and utter lack of condescension and pity for the navy blues? Note the jealousy and hatred?

Good, isn't it.

In some ways both Nisbett and Roos are right, and I am inclined to agree with them when I put my 'non-biased' hat on.

BUT what we have to remember is that it only came down to this through the actions of the AFL, and the compliance of other clubs such as Sydney and West Coast in allowing us to be royally screwed over for the last six years. Where were Sydney and West Coast when we were getting stripped of draft picks? Where were Sydney and West Coast when the AFL changed the system on us so that our priority picks were taken lower down the ladder?

Yeah... I reckon we've been a little grubby about how we have gone about all of this. But, we were almost forced into it by years of being stuffed around by the AFL Commission and 15 other Clubs. In the end, this type of dealing and playing was the only respite we had for trying to re-engineer the revival of this footy club.

And I'll tell you one thing... when we are playing West Coast in Perth next year and Sydney in Sydney then you won't hear too much winging from these guys at the gate receipts that are coming in because of the number of bums on seats that are there to see the premier player in the land play alongside the 2005, 2006, and 2007 number one draft picks.

In the end we used the system... but we had to. West Coast were the unfortunate victims (it could have been one of any of the other clubs)... but overall it is just recompense for years of abuse from the rest of the AFL fraternity.

Best way to sum up all of their tripe....they know we are back, and we haven't even played a game to show for it!!!!

The fear is there as they know part of the old powerful Carlton is making a comeback.

It like they know a tsunami is headed there way.

This is based on the contention that the Tigers were the worst team and deserved the best players.

What a load of shit!

Purely on 2007 results they were 14 points to our 16, and had a higher percentage. In the last three years Richmond have amassed 98 Premiership points to Carlton's 38.

There's no point implying that underachieving teams should be rewarded and then pointing to a club that hardly deserves sympathy. Amazingly, he then considers an option of Picks 2 & 18 to be better than 3, 20 & Josh Kennedy. A bit of indictment on their new forward.

Now, the Eagles did fairly well out of the Judd choice and this year they have four picks under 22. This resentful little flower needs some Cuz's speed to get his head up to task I reckon.

Tanking is extremely immoral

To suggest we tanked is a defamatory and liable accusation made without a shred of tangible substance. these accusations ignore the emphatic public statements made by our GREAT club and ignore the fact that our performances as the season drew to a close were clearly more competitive. ALL The facts CLEARLY contradict the emotional and self interest fueled comments by Nisbet, Roos and many of the scum sucking supporters of other clubs.

Its obvious the integrity of the competition is being severely compromised but the source of this threat is quite clearly ENVY by OTHERS.

HOW DARE THEY question our integrity

I am deeply offended
