Which I would expect would mean quite a few interviews would be lined up.

They already had Pagan on this morning.

From memory:

1. Murphy was considered for captaincy. All players had to apply for the position and had to be interviewed, and Murphy interviewed quite well.

2. Lance got the job because he's done his dues.

3. Stiff for Stevens to miss out and felt for him, but Lance deserved it more.

4. Considered dual captains, but opted for one only.

Maloufs response to KB re the perceived personality issue between Pagan and Mitchell was handled extremely poorly.

I have to say Maloufs skills in this area leave a lot to be desired!

was I imagining things this morning, or are we sharing today on SEN with the kangas? Can someone confirm?

Pagan also stated that Gibbs was worthy of being in the leadership group - went over his history being a leader at Glenelg etc

I believe Adelaide Crows are fuming that Carlton put Gibbs in the leaders group in his first year, as they still think they are with a chance to nab him, when his contract runs out with Carlton.

Yeah it was pretty bad listening to Malouf. Kept on back traking saying it was fine that Pagan and Mitchel don't speak. Saying they have different jobs and dont need to speak to each other until the season starts. Then when pushed by KB saying this is actually bad he tried to say everthing was rosey between the two coaches.

He reminds me so much of Smorgan his words always get him into trouble. If a Journalist wants to make up a story about Carlton they just have to Interview Malouf he will get headline in the paper for all the wrong reason.

It is a pathetic situation which cannot be defended.
Denis needs to grow up and pull his head in.

And what about Mitchell? It takes two to dual - isn't that right Tommi?

Why :?

Please, let us all know the current situation and how it has all developed to this point, BV. You're obviously someone close to all parties and know exactly what's happened - so fill us in.

As I've said before, If Barry didn't try to knife Denis why would there be an issue?

I do agree that this can't go on - Denis is coach and Barry has to go.

Waite just on SEN - spoke very well and is pumped waiting for the season to start.

As I understand it Mitchell's office has been relocated to the opposite side of the stadium to Denis' & it appears Malouf confirmed that the two do not speak

Bizarre

I am not a Pagan hater but seriously, they are grown men & have to work together & get over this

I never thought BM tried to knife him…if I was in his shoes & was told by the board that Pagan's days were numbered & they would thus like me to present my case I would have done exactly that. Felt sorry for Mitch after that whole fiasco, thought he came out of it looking like an asshole when he clearly wasn't.

You are assuming this is the case. If it's true why would DP be pissed with BM? I agree if it were totally innocent that Denis needs to work things out or asked to have him removed.

Obviously something has gone on between the 2 and Bazza must go.

I'd suggest that if it unfolded as neatly as you and Jim Wilson put it, DP should have a beef with Sticks rather than Mitch, yeah?

I think it is the rumour that BM must have known forces were forming to oust Pagan and and that he was a part of this. Not saying at all that this is true, but I think it is where a lot of anomosity comes towards BM.

I heard that Malouf interview-the PAGAN-MITCHELL matter was very poorly handled. He has to stay out of the media.

Fair point made, but you must admit you're assuming things yourself if you think that just because Denis is pissed off then BM must have tried to knife him.

You are right though that some something has to give on this one, I just disagree that it necessarily has to mean seeya Barry. I hope Mr Pratt's repeated line about everybody participating in the club's revival applies here. It's wacky if the senior & junior coach aren't on speaking terms & as I said they are grown men & should realise that their own blue is to the detriment of the club.
