I was up in NSW the week leading into the GF and thought channel 9s coverage was incredibly biased towards the Eels. Now you would expect some leaning towards the "home team" but seriously it was a farce. I actually was rapt that the storm won and stuck it up all those ignorant NSW flower.

And the bullshit about that Eels guy getting off slipping the knee in when the opponent got a tri in the Prelimanry Final was unbelievable.

it somes up commercial TV. A pack of biased, hypocritical, narrowminded, over stated wankers who have no ethics because in the end folks its about ratings and ratings mean money.

I'm sure that TV stations never did that when it's a "Victorian v Interstate" Grand final in the AFL, did they?

Seriously, you Victorians have such a chip on your shoulders about the way you think you're viewed in other places, that it's becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Your off the mark. I never thought about that.
I am just saying that comercial networks are pricks. I laughed when they went the moral ground when it came to the opinions of Kyle Sandilands.
In some way he is better. At least he admits he is offensive. Ask Sterlo and co whether their comentary was biased and pathetic given rugby league is a national competition I doubt you get an honest answer.
As I said
Commercial networks = aresholes( no matter what the state)

Fair point. I agree entirely with your last post. Apologies if I've missed the point of your original one.

If it goes to Nine, and especially if Warnie gets the gig as presenter, I'm not going to watch it on the box. I'll get episodes other ways.

i dont know why ppl get so worked up about the commentary really...does it really affect your life that much?

I watched the rugby GF (@#$%&! YEAH STORM!) and it was fine, maybe a little bit biased, but they still praised the Melbourne storm and mentioned how good we were as being a clinical and professional team, saying we deserved it.

True, but that was towards the end of the game when it was a foregone conclusion.

We won, that's all that matters at the end of the day, but the point of the discussion is that they were blatantly bias and talking up the Eels and not really commenting on how well and in control the Storm were and even when the Eels were suffering from possession deficiency and nerves.

But really, I couldn't give a shit about a shit station anyway.

I download it anyway - the british version is much more interesting.
