The world is made up of many self righteous people (many who post on this site Synbad) who have done no wrong in their lives. These people are usually the ones who themselves seek second and third chances when they flower up.

Fev is always used as a scape goat and is rarely lauded for the massive amounts of charity work he does or the generosity he shows to kids and fans, not to mention the millions he has earned the CFC through the marketing of his image.

It should be said that channel 9 are a bunch of flowers who showed no mercy what so ever with their selective film clip on the Footy show last week, (I wonder if they would have shown it if it was Alan Didak?).

Fev has had a wonderful season and career. and is by far the most irreplaceable player on our list. Unlike some other superstars of the competition who have 2 strikes against their names for failed drug tests, have saddled up with convicted murderers and have been charged with sexual assaults, Fev has never done anything that even comes close to this. In fact a recent retiree was seen being given a standing ovation as he journeyed around the MCG on grand final day, in the back of a car, having been involved in a hush money scenario some years ago....... what a bunch of hypocrites !!

Great clubs support their champions not isolate them and they have a responsibility to help rehabilitate Fev not trade him. Even greats like John Nicholls don't have a clean slate when you look back in history. I hope the captain is being supportive, like he was with Cousins, Kerr and Fletcher in Perth.

The fact is that most clubs would love to have Fev but are unable to fit his salary in their salary cap otherwise they would do it in a heartbeat. Ask Eddie if he would take him at Collingwood or Rodney Eade or Paul Roos.

A flower who called 3AW suggested we should take the lead from the Saints many years ago when they traded Barry Hall and the Pies who traded Chris Tarrant......... Surprise surprise they haven't won a flag !!

Time to cut him some slack and get behind him because without him the Carlton Football will be the poorer and we can forget our premiership window being in the next 2-3 years because it won't happen. As good as kreuzer and Waite are they will be much more dangerous as 2nd and 3rd forwards not having to worry about negotiating contests with Scarlett, Glass and Rutten.

I'm sure that the talk to trade Fev is a positioning excercise and will never eventuate.

I just hope the posters on this site show their true colours and support the bloke that has given them their greatest highlights and has won more games for us than any other player, in an otherwise dismal 7 years.

i think noone is self righteous... cos ive supported fev every time befor this time....

cos u have to understand that this is everyuthing he has ever done x 100 culminated into one night..

it was an act of selfishness.... where he has pushed his team mates aside for self gratification...

he has caused great harm to a number of people many of whom are carlton people...and his wife and kids

if we continue to turn a blind eye to this kind of brhaviour.. fev wont change and he will sink the ship....

look at the damage he caused singlehandedly.

i agree he wont be going anywhere... not cos we dont want him to tho...

and he will be made to sign a new contract so that if ever he does @#$%&! up again the contract wont be a concern...

and if he manages to become the kind of statesman we need.. im happy...

BUT UNLIKE YOU.... if he manages to turn his life around... ill be happier..

most of you only care about him as a goalkicker...

Youre all self righteous yourself.. having a go at him..., but you have never once thought about where he may end up if he continues his self destructive ways....

you wouldnt give a @#$%&! what happened when his goals dry up and he his ways havent changed....

so i care just as much for the club and for fev as you do.... just we care about them differently...

Not sure they will have much effect on Swanny and/or Ratts. They will do what they think is best for the Club.

hey mods, thats a little unfair. mr synbad is inferring that all people that think fev shouldnt be traded are stupid. he's pretty good at mass insults this bloke.

consistency calls for his post to be removed as well

I'm resigned to the fact Fev could be sacked from the Carlton Football Club. Look, i have to agree with a lot of what Synbad has said, the guy has been a huge Fevola fan, always backing him to the tilt, and what occured with Fevola last Monday night at the brownlow doesn't sound good at all!

So I'm going to have to back whatever decision the board makes on this one... Who am I to lash out against the club??

I've been as big a Fevola fan as any, saw amazing potential in him as a youngster... Backed him when Britts wanted him sacked, knew that he could be anything, and I've always defending him when he's been in trouble on the piss... Now, I want Fev to stay at the club personally, but if he goes I will back the club in and support their decision.

It's just a very sad situation if he's to leave... Have many fond memories watching him play, and love the passion he shows out there on the field. Fev and grog clearly don't mix, I wonder if he now knows how much he is @#$%&! up his career by his stupidity...

I personally love watching him play and hope he plays on at the club but have come to grips with the fact that he may not be here next year... But we must get a good trade out of it, otherwise forget it... Good start would be to ban him from the footy show for a year and impose heavy sanctions on his contract..

Oh dear Synbad, you can't advise sacking or trading the bloke from the club where he has spent all his playing days and then say that you're his no.1 fan. You're either a pragmatist who views moving him on as the best thing for the team. Or you're a sentimental type of guy who wants Fev to get his act together with the Blues. You can't be both. I'd prefer you weren't either but one is enough.

At least I can claim to be current - you spot things 12+months post the event, eg Fev, Lance, Pagan etc etc. And then you start preaching like you've spotted someting none of us have seen. BORING!!! Please keep it fresh in future Synbad.......You've become Mr Irrelevant.

Someone has Sean and the mods rightfully edited it.

And we will continue to edit them too. If you spent a moment to do you research here and elsewhere you could probably paint the picture.

I've never suggested turning a blind eye to his behaviour, I suggested support and assistance to help him through this problem after all the good stuff he has done for this club.

Not sure how you can say that you care for him after footy and not only as a goal kicker, when you are advocating he be traded to another club.........something that you know he would hate as he loves the club.

I know for a fact that even with all his faults, the players love having him on their side and admire him greatly for his football ability which after all, is what he is employed to do.

The Carlton Football Club has always protected and assisted their own, just like Richard Pratt would have mandated. Don't forget Fev was his favourite......Not a bad endorsement from the great man, who must have seen some good in him.

This is nonsensical, it's full of contradictions. You say they've done no wrong and then you say when they flower up.... :screwy:
Everyone has done things they're ashamed of. You're attacking posters in general with a broad brush with sly innuendo instead of addressing their arguments. You imply you're better than other posters because they're hypocritical and you're not

Very simplistic, makes massive assumptions to suit your own purposes.

How would you know? I doubt it and even the antiJudd said no club would want him. Apparently it's fact because you say it's a fact.
