I don't know how many of you know the full story with Mike and Dan (not sure that I know it myself), but Molsey has been an almost constant source of inspiration for the Mike and Dan project, and I just wanted to show my appreciation, and by extension the appreciation of the SMG here at TC.

Dan became frustrated with Pagan and the Club's fortunes early in the piece, and for a long while Molsey took on the load pretty much by himself. Even now, with a larger band of helpers, he has been a fairly tireless figure on this front - conducting interview after interview, and dealing with a club who's media department is under-resourced and stretched.

I don't know how many interviews Molsey has conducted... but there would be lots. I think he has said that JR and Hammer are two of the most intelligent interviewees (I'd add T-Bird to that list myself). But as young player after young player has come into the club over the noughties, Molsey has talked to them, listened to them, and shared their thoughts with us through the Club's website.

So after almost a decade of work on the project, Molsey has hung up his boots on Mike and Dan. He helped the Club's media department in the Club's darkest hour, and for that he earns my thanks and appreciation...as well as the thanks and appreciation of many others.

The SMG decided that we would like to write something in appreciation of your efforts Molsey, so please take this as being from all of us as a symbol of gratitude for a job very, very well done!

Hey Molsey, its a sad day that M&D will no longer grace TC and the CFC site.

Your dedication to M&D bought the players a little closer to us fans and for that l thank you.

We saw some lovely insights into the players and their thoughts as well as the goss on their team-mates.

Thank you so much for making M&D such a wonderful addition to TC - it will be missed.

haha Molly, thanks, you didn't have to do this.

It's been a great thing to do, the email chain associated with the questions has taught me many new words and for a while there the access and support was increasing from the Club. I've just got to a stage where I needed the full support to continue and didn't get it. I'm probably just getting more demanding as i get older.

Cheers

ps DUC, the 'Mike & Dan' name might continue with different people and perhaps doing a similar thing, so the intention is still there. It's just that 'Mike' and 'Dan' and a few others are going. The mainstays that want to continue are named Beau and Charles so maybe they'll go by those names?

Beau and Charles sound too pooncy for Carlton, Molsey.

Mike and Dan have Premiership written all over them.

Fantastic Carltonian is Molsey.

Congats on your efforts and results with Mike & Dan; the Institution.

I really missed Mike & Dan when Footy Channel on Fox closed down, and I hope at the very least the format continues and your legacy lives at CFC.

Thanks for the effort, thanks for the insights and than god you're on Carlton's side.

Good luck to you and your little family.

You're a legend.

I reckon the shit years were all Mike and Dan's fault - they come on board and the club are shit - now that they have left I'm plonking money on the flag!

Though I am more of a reader than a poster, I hope that this won't mean you will be less a presence on TC-appreciate the effort you have put in for the Blue cause.

If it wasn't for Mike & Dan - and The Ghost - I wouldn't bother with the CFC site at all.

Well done, Molsey. The wry humour of M&D helped a lot, especially in the Dark Years.

Well, it looks like the pressure's on, Dannyboy...

but sincerely

Molsey made the whole thing work - especially during the dark times. Well done.
