Our players dont seem to have any zing about them this year... often...

and im wondering if our conditioning is up to scratch compared to what other clubs might be doing....

It wasnt a problem last year.. but it seems to be a problem this year...

We were very flat yesterday. Seems a lot of players playing sore. Fev has to put his fingers back in after every contest. Bower limps alot. Murphy's hands are taped up and he looks sore. The captain doesnt look right. Walker is still not going 100%. Betts has PPS and a sore back........and so on.

I reckon 5 of the teams above us have had the luxury of resting players up and making sure their list is as fresh as it can be for the finals. Loading their training also.
I dont think we have done any of that as we have been trying to achieve our goal of making the finals and wont do anything to risk it. If anything we have been doing the complete opposite and reckon we are just about out of gas.

The Crows were running so well yesterday while we looked like we had cement boots on.

I think the Bears are in the same boat as us so we are still a chance next week but i cant see us going much further.
We will be better for the experience however.

All learning for 2012 year of the Blues !

I think that's a fair assessment, and as KK hinted, if we were offered 13-9 at the start of the year we'd have taken it in a flash.

I've said it before, but the top two teams looked ordinary for long patches before everything clicked for them. budzy is right, we're immature. Sometimes immaturity pays off, as it did for Hawthorn last year, but most times you have to work through that, no matter who the coach is.

Should have our 3rd premiership by then.

Well drilled, disciplined and willing to work hard without the ball.

Once again I find myself doubting if we can win a premiership with this guy on board.

What else do teams try and make the finals for.... to win premierships, not to say we made the finals and finished 7th.. what would you have liked Fev to say - "were just happy to make the 8 and don't care if we win any games and bomb out in the first week"
The best team in September wins the flag, not the best team in April, May, June, July and August.
Everyone wants to be premiers. But wanting to win the flag and actually winning it are two different things.
The way you go about it is everything.

Would the Hawks have taken a narrow loss to Geel in the Prelim final last year...at the beginning of '08. I'll bet you they would've. They dared to dream and pinched a flag. would I have taken 13-9 this year? Yes. What does that tell me though? Nothing. As I said earlier in the year, the Ess loss (first one) and the Feo loss will come back to bite us on the arse. Forget top 4....we had a genuine chance this year with the way things have panned out to get a home final. We didn't. I'll get over it. but if you're happy with 13-9, then our 9 losses mean nothing cause we have 13 wins in the bank. It's a fools gold logic. Yes you'll take every win and yes you should be pissed off about every loss and accept the fact that that you can't win all games. But you should be enraged when, for whatever reason, you consistently lose games you should win.

Don't disagree at all, but if the "get pissed off with loing games you should win" then it's the Sydney, Essendon* (x2), Hawthorn, and Freo matches which should be getting peoples' panties in bunches, not last night, where we were comprehensively outmuscled, outplayed...hell outeverythinged...by a brutal and impressive team.

Agree KK we were totally outplayed by a very professional, well-drilled team yesterday. Adelaide are flying under the radar IMO and will give the top teams a run for their money.

The two that really shit me the most are the first ess and the Freo game. Agreed about last night. I guess whats annoying me the most was that we could've had a home final irrespective of the Adel game.

Don't worry, george finds Fev at fault for every loss. Its one thing post-loss you can rely on
